How is Uttakhand is germane to the topic under discussion? Such low level reactions are published!
What i feel is we the people of India are the biggest sufferer . Our constitution and policies are not at all proper to protect mankind of Indian citizens. I think we again need a strong revolution and for which we people of India has to take a strong decision and does not matter who is ruling India at present.
Adivasis are the resource owner and protector in this country for centuries. They utilize very minimum for survival, protect environment and hand over it to next generation. But, in todays development model everything has been commodity and 'smart managers' exploit it to an extent that it create 'climate change' and then they decide who should live in the forest...and who should not...
Does anyone cares for the local natives and their development....if yes, then what is the stake of these resource owners in the business (they own natural capital i.e. land water and forest)...do they have any say?....does any policy maker consider them respectable stakeholder in 'modern development process'?
They don't need charity but equity in development...and a right to choose their own development.

I rightly agree and strongly in favour of constitutional amendments in favour of protecting the Adivasis. Modi govt. should understand on "NATURE SCION" If we have to live, we need natural resources in tact and advasis do care of our natural resources. Modi govt should remember development at what cost? Modi ji we all feel you are a balanced person!!!!

I am not sure what he is trying to say. Does he want the adivasis to remain adivasis forever and keep on living collecting berries, wood and lac from the forests?

Yes, that is what he is saying. This development is what aborigines like Onges and Jaravas of Andaman and Nicobar islands also resisted. Now Indian govt has stopped contacting these people. Development is not handing over laptop to adivasis. After contacting outside human beings at least one of the tribes completely vanished after getting communicable diseases. Development is protecting old way of living and nature. Cities need to find its own resources to develop on its own.

You are an unbelievably idiotic little oaf, arent you ?
So idiotic that you have not even heard about sustainable living, protection of livelihoods, sustenance of forest ecologies free of corrosive human imprints, etc !
Take a little effort with whatever you have for a brain and do some general reading about these. You will find a lot of evidence about scientific opinion converging increasingly about their importance.
What congress did to Adivasis in last 65 years, only made them naxals, maoists, new problem created after Kashmir. None of the politicians is interested to wage a war against population explosion, root cause of all problems. Land is limited, development without land acquisition-not possible. Can agriculture which contribute only 20% of GDP feed 125 crore Indians. We do not agree with the above, the contents are prejudiced and biased.

Even Modi has not done anything to control population, sadly not only is it conspicuous by its absence in Modi's policies, but Modi is spreading nonsense that India population is its demographic dividend. Again, total ignorance when he says India's strength is its youthful population. Come on another 5 years the youth will be older than the old of the previous generation.
First of all I am concerned about the Environment. But let's analyze this case. An Adivasi is going to London to protest against industrialization in India. Who is funding him? It appears to me that some foreign company is behind this to protect it's interest. There are several foreign funded NGOs in India which are used by the funding agencies to protect their interest. Thanks to Modi Govt which has kept them under scrutiny. The foreign companies want us import from them instead of "Make in India". So they do not want to set up industries here. This person is just used as a MASK!

I am all for leaving Adivasis, and tribes of Andamans and Nicobar to decide on what course they want to follow. Traditional living is welcome, it does not spoil nature, etc. At last, I find your argument very correct. It is indeed very strange that the Adivasi is going to the country of Industrial Revolution to protest against Industrialization.
a number of times it was proved that jayaram failed in leaving upto the expectation specially he was giving distoted statements when AP was witnessing the agitations for bifurcation . what he can now comment its waste of time to read his comments
