The raja ram mohan roy who initiated laws to elimibating the Sati was against Idol worship.. But he still belived in Hinduisam as a religen unlike the current so called rationalists who in the name of rational thinking are against relegen itself and want to influyence people to become attest..this very aproach itself is getting resisted by their opponants and resulting into defeting their rational thinkning ideas which are in fact are good for socity in the long run..so rationalists also should introspect and adopt an aproach which was adopted by rajaram mohan roy.
she was a orthodox lady, she even discriminate between Catholic and non Catholic Christians , once she refused to give child to the Christian couple who wanted to adopt Child , because they were non Catholic Christian. There were lot of accusition in past from both sides in this regard. This happened around 40-45 years back. All leading news paper reported the matter.
Dear Sir, writer of this article, what are you talking.... Cancer cured with here healing touch. You can highlight her deeds but dont use magical, unimaginable things in the article....
In today's world it is impossible to imagine anyone who selflessly and endleesly devoted his/her life to the poorest of poor and weakest of the weak. If this is not 'miracle' then what is? Issues of cancer cures etc. are meaningless and belittles the tremendous work done by Mother Teresa in service of the helpless. All the rationalists sitting in their AC offices should confess if they have ever held a poor dying man not related to them till the last breadth. Let them do that and then make judgement.

Well said Nandeesh.for the sake of debating these hypocrites would scream from the top of the roof. I am with you. Mother Teresa thy name shall be remembered for ever in this universe.
Traditions are very good as far as they are Hindu in nature! But as far as they are either Islamic or Christian they are either oppressive or dogmatic!Wow!
Look I am a practicing Bengali Hindu.I live for years in Kolkata and I can assure you with responsibility that Mother had not indulged in any kind of conversion activities be it either forceful or deceptive. We Bengalis are realy proud of Mother because we think that she has offered remarkable service for the poor/needy/destitute people here without no vested interest behind that. There was no superstition/hallucination behind her miracles. She had tremeandas spiritual power which she accessed through religious exertions. We Kolkatans are very sentimental about her so please do not render any kind of harsh remark about her work which could dent our sentiment. This is a humble request to you all.Please.
If Mother Teresa have performed rampnt conversions at Kolkata then at least 10% population of the city would become christians. Now how many christians live at Kolkata? only 5400 wich is less than even 1% of total population. So get your facts correct and stop spreading abject lies which is the habit of BJP/RSS/VHP/BD.......Sangh parivaar.
