Look I am a practicing Bengali Hindu.I live for years in Kolkata and I can assure you with responsibility that Mother had not indulged in any kind of conversion activities be it either forceful or deceptive. We Bengalis are realy proud of Mother because we think that she has offered remarkable service for the poor/needy/destitute people here without no vested interest behind that. There was no superstition/hallucination behind her miracles. She had tremeandas spiritual power which she accessed through religious exertions. We Kolkatans are very sentimental about her so please do not render any kind of harsh remark about her work which could dent our sentiment. This is a humble request to you all.Please.
A Bengali woman named Monica Besra claims that a beam of light emerged from a picture of Mother Teresa, which she happened to have in her home, and relieved her of a cancerous tumour. Her physician, Dr Ranjan Mustafi, says that she didn’t have a cancerous tumour in the first place and that the tubercular cyst she did have was cured by a course of prescription medicine.” http://www.theguardian.com/news/2015/dec/18/mother-teresa-to-become-saint-after-pope-recognises-miracle-report

Hindus will never forget their polythiesm.
I feel sad for this great Milind Deshmukh, and request not to mix Science and Religion. All of us, as Human beings have freedom to live our life on this green earth following our own faith, religion and move life with the hope, faith and trust. Digging the history of any religion is not correct in my perceptive.
Is it just a coincidence that there was no questions on the 'miracles' claimed by Islam? There are a lot of things beyond human perception and are called 'miracles'.
Milind Deshmukh has no business to interfere in another religion in another country. The Pope will dismiss his plea with the contempt it deserves. Science does not believe in superstitions and miracles, but religion is all about superstition and faith. You can't thrust science in religion, or religion in science. The two do not mix in anyway. The Vatican has been doing for centuries the practice of beatifying people as saints based on reports of miracles. Scientists throughout the world have no issues with it. Why should Mr Deshmukh worry unnecessarily about it?
when we face serious problems in our lives, we visit people who are known to perform miracles. but when no changes happen in our lives, they blame us, saying our heart is not clean, and that's the reason he couldn't perform the miracle. isn't that what is happening in most of the places?
