I gave just one example of miracle and Rediff choose not to share with you. What can I do.... Men proposes, Rediff disposes. As an Editor, it is within their absolute editorial rights.
Milind Deshmukh, chief secretary, MANS seems to be talking through his hat. HE HAS NOT VISITED NOR SPOKEN NOR CHECKED MEDICAL RECORDS of both Marcilio Haddad Andrino and Monica Besra AND STILL SAYS NOT TO USE THE WORD "miracle" This is like many people who have resorted to violence because their "sentiments are hurt WITHOUT WATCHING THE MOVIE OR READING THE BOOK. Milind Deshmukh, chief secretary, MANS should check the facts IN A CYNICAL WORLD it must be pointed out to him THAT THE VATICAN CONDUCTS DETAILED EXAMINATION of the miracle attributed to the person to be canonized FROM AMONG 100s that are registered. Mother Theresa died in 1997 AND THERE WAS A LOT OF PRESSURE ON THE VATICAN to declare her a saint ASAP. THE VATICAN DID NOT. It went through proper procedure followed over centuries AND ASCERTAINED FACT before declaring Mother a Saint.

Very well put and explained and I hope it puts Milind Deshmukh in his place. Loved the part where he says the Bermuda triangle "has been solved" By whom may I ask. He seems to be having a bee in his bonnet. Miracles in the Catholic Church are well documented and are not just superstitions which the MANS has been successful in proving wrong in India. Before you talk Milind Deshmukh, Chief Secretary, MANS you of all people please check facts and then reach out for your 15 minutes of fame. and btw the Vatican has no time to reply to cranks like you.

I am curious to know why she died? She could have cured herself by her own miracle. If that was not possible, other saints could have cured her by miracles.

have no issues with Sainthood being granted to Mother Teresa who did selfless work in our country. My quarrel is only with biased english media who need to have the courage to hold public debate with so called intellectuals like Ramchandra Guha etc asking them whether they believe in miracles.

People like Ramchandra Guha with calcified brains will not change their attitudes. Please remember the English Media is only reporting not commenting. You are the one who is casting aspersions on it by calling it "biased english media".

The reason is you need to have a level playing field. You cannot highlight and create controversies where there are none with respect to one religion and leave others
If not, just went once then everything will clear to u. people talk rubbish when they dont know. When nobody take care of poor, she was taking care. y u were not there. just to talk is easy. No matter whether word is associated. but for many of us. She has done miracles and doing today also.
