human development indicator in which Kerala (0.65 children working per 1000 population) leads head, shoulders and trunk over the 2nd placed state !

And what about that 0.65 child working per 1000 population in Kerala ?

Well, there indeed are still some tamil children employed on the sly in some small eateries in Kerala !

Iagrre Das.Nobody talks about child labour in Tv advts.and serials as they are sponsored by large MNC's who pay the western sponsored activists.
The poor child works to support the family for basic necessities while the children in serials and TV commercials add to the already hefty incomes of their parents

Child Labor _ Punish Parents
by Manohar Bhargava on Nov 18, 2016 09:29 AM

Funny are the ways of common man.You want to punish an employer of a 14-15 year old but his parents who force them to beg, sell at crossings and call for begging on Saturdays making young girls beg with an infant in lap go scot free.It is also known that begging is permitted by police on a cut every day. Will the law enfircing agency flog such parents?

Child labour..stop it

To hear the slogan ,stop child labour is good. But why does a child work in the first place? One should understand very clearly across the diffetent parts of the country. No parent would like to see his child work. First understand the real reason ,and then provide solutions to raise the real income of the parents of such children....dont just shout stop child labour because it is western slogan, be practical and provide mtiple solutions in our indian environment

I agree Varun. Wherever there is little bit of affordability, children prefer to go to school. Number of School going children has really gone up, and child labour has not gone up in the same proportion. However, I am of the view that Government's role in reducing child labour is negligible.
