Aakar is India head for the notorious Amnesty International. This organization has long been penetrated by various intelligence agencies of the western world.
Aakar needs to follow the script of portraying the Modi government and India in poor light or he will lose his job.
There are a number of such presstitutes who will gladly run down their country to gain eyeballs of the western audience who read papers like NY Times.
Kashmir and kashmiriyat was traditionally the land where goddess Sharda originated and has nothing common with PAk .(There is still a old sharda peeth temple in POK -neelum river.). Later on the demographic profile changed .The state acceeded in 1947 but pak encroached into western part . It also gifted 6000sq miles of kashmir to china. .. also Pandits were pushed out . The Jammu and Ladakh (some part occupied by china) are in no way associated with the valley's uprising ,though both are much more underdeveloped and neglected . (Most of resources is cornered by valley ).There are lots of areas/enclaves within india where one community will be in majority but that is not the case to claim for plebesite. Partition itself did not solve any problem bcos people cannot be relocated due to majority vote in that area .. Shared resources and culture of kashmir with india is the eternal bond. A few misguided people due to religion has no basis for such violence and dominate the majority view. some cases of prejudices happen to all communities across india (north south-east west etcc. ) and not just for northeast . This does not mean all are unable to treat all of us as indians. if violence has not reached the urban areas give credit for the people who have shunned violence and embraced technology and development and all should do the same. Change will take time but the "villains" of change are those who are impatient like this..
beyond facts, recent killing of 4 Pakistani inflitrators and another who was caught by security people, do they belong to Kashmir or realative of writer. What for they were entering in Kashmir ? Further, regarding Maoists , so called Adivasi by writer are in fact, are the exploitor of Adivasies and established fear, terror and collecting money by force, closing schools , hospitals destroying roads and treating adivasies as their bonded labour. And who provides modern weapons and ammunition unabettedly these dreaded Maoists, obviously those on whose behalf they are challenging Security of India, and they are international forces and some of our political leaders to side with them to create their constituency. Actually the votes casted under terror are dictated in favour of those party(ies ). Even recently we have seen the glimpse of it in Capital' s University Campus where anti India sentiments were frequently sloganed and supported by certain sections of teaching staff belonging to particular party.
Strange that person like Aakar patel does not know the history and incidents dotting the kashmiris, more army personnel were sent in only in the late 80s and after when hindu pandits were being killed in large numbers and were driven out. Many soldier and police personnel were killed by the terror groups and the administrative people like panchayat leaders too were killed. Even the Kashmir based parties like NC, PDD and congress allowed the Hurriyat and other like minded parties to grow in Kashmir which is proving to be a bane now, they are now openly revolting against the indian govt and challenge the local govt which ever comes to power and collect money from the locals and officials to safeguard themselves which is an easy money for the terror groups to get arms and ammnunitions from the black market and target the indian forces and the police and administrative officials. they want anarchy in Kashmir so that they can thrive, we first need to eliminate those middlemen who are obstacles to the development of Kashmir. Even now they are opposing the return of pandits to their own place, they are openly supporting pak and show pak and isis flags to threaten the indian govt and forces be provoked to take action and cry foul against them via the media (be it print or TV) which shows only one sided news and do not report the killings of army and police even if done its just a scroller. The hurriyat sends their children abroad to study and live but use the locals for fighting
I really accept the views of Mr Aakar Patel, you have to think in neutral way the issue started when all the Kingdoms of India got dissolved in to republic of India,and once it is accepted it should be followed by the constitution of India,and the Govt should Strongly support the region for implementing the rules and regulations and also educate them. people will definitely will take dis advantage of the internal turmoil in politics.
