Sentiments
by arungopal agarwal on Feb 24, 2016 12:29 PM

These sentiments play key role in voting, biggest power in India to elect Govt.
Why to play with sentiments of the people, why hate spreading speeches be allowed, is it freedom, if so, like religion it should be purely personal not to be spoken at public places.
Freedom of speech without discipline is of no use. It is a jungleraj.

From politicians to common men everybody thinks that government's money is there to be looted. If you can avoid getting caught don't pay any taxes and go on cheating the govt.: that seems to be our culture.

the author makes a good point. the enlish definition fits well except that it is debatable if 'superiority' of 'inferiority complex' is more apt

skewed arguments

Mr Patel, you mean to say those who pay income tax only can express their views. Did you forget about innumerable forms of other taxes which are collected by state from common people from birth to death ? Let us not ignore presence of scoundrels in all classes of people.
Love and affection for one's country is Nationalism. Just as a person safeguards members of his immediate family and extends to fellow brethren. Those who do not believe in this thinking are welcome to renounce everything including clothes they are wearing and live in remote forest and can enjoy full freedom.

Mr Patel have not mentioned a word about political class elected by people..Are they not supposed to lead from front??Can you appeal upon them to give up their super luxurious life style at cost of tax payers money???Can't they do public service at minimum required facilities and save a hefty sum???Can these political class give up all the subsidies and freebies enjoyed by them and follow example of the Tripura CM??Can our govt. improve upon functioning of govt. hospitals & schools to enable education & health care to the needy at affordable cost???If our govt. & politicians set an example by leading from front in all fields I am sure all the citizens will also follow them...Jai Hind.

Aakar patel's entire article is just aimed at justifying anti-India campaigns by anti-India elements. How many people pay Income Tax has got nothing to do with patriotism.
