No way ! Amitabh as President. It would be a big downfall of dignity of the post President of India. Amitabh may be a gentlemen in some respects and he is my favourite hero even today and I am inspired by him hard work and success, but still I would not want him to be President, because this post is of a different level. This post should only go to a person who is not bias, who has no stake in politics, who has no yearn to earn millions or be corrupt and the most important, any intellectual and social person who understands India in true session and who has a class of his own. Amar Singh and Modi are just fans of Amitabh and hence thinking of recommending his name for the post.
I agree with the author that Amitabh can not and should not become a President.All our past presidents have been great personalities, true but what about Pratibha Patil and Pranab Mukherjee, where they stand, why the author conveniently avoided them.If these two good for nothing personalities can become Presidents then Amitabh certainly deserves to become a president. Moreover, when the topic is of president then how come ministers come into picture. Such articles which are mostly one sided should be screened out.
The writer has very conveniently left out Prathibha Patil and Pranab Mukherjee, for if he had brought them into his article, then his whole premise of not wanting Amitabh to be president would have been demolished. I have zero inclination in seeing Amitabh as the President of India, but take offense of the writer taking readers for a ride with his partial truths and untenable logic.
