when people like Gajendra Chauhan can be chief if FTII, BJP could very well consider from among M/s Sadhvi Prachi, Adityananda, etc. for the posts of Governor, RBI, President of India, etc.
Babaji's contribution to BJP is much more than that of Amitabh ... especially after he said that he can_kill thousands who don't say Bharat Mata_ki Jai!
Generally all ruling party politicians want person loyal to them as a President and looking into the past history of Amitabh Bachchans loyalty to Gandhi family and Amarsingh who helped him in his bad time is known to everyone. Rediff should not continue this article as Amitabh will never be the President of this country and give some other more interesting articles instead of this.

Correct. President should have in depth knowledge of constitution, impartial and understanding of responsibilities....... In India who does not have /create black money... Black money is good for economy... There should not be corruption n playing with the lives of human being n there needs self discipline.
Amitabh may or may not be deserving canditate for presidentship.But to disqualify him because he danced in films is idiotic.What would you say about pratibha patil of Zail singh who said he can carry Sanjay Gandhi's shoes on his head.Can you compare Pratibha Patil with Amitabh.What qualities did Pratbha Patil have?
No party will prefer to nominate him as President looking into his past opportunism, and his wife representing Samajwadi party. He may be a great actor but definitely not fit for President as he himself has declared that he is not interested in politics anymore. The political parties who use Governors and President for their self interest will find Amitabh not suitable for them as their desired purpose will not be served under him.
Its so funny, we never no even Mr. Bachchan would like to be nominated for the post or not. we are making all sorts of comments on him. Is Mr. Amitav the right candidate or not should not be the most pertinent question to day but who should be and why? The post of president cant be a reward for any body's success in his chosen field and it never should be. We must be sure that whether he is from the right field or no. Success and contribution should come from the pertinent field and one should excel at the highest level to make him worth for his position. If Mr. amitav's success could be seen as good enough for the post of the president of India then why not he should be seen as the coach or captain of the Indian cricket / foot ball team. Its simple that he is not from the right field and so we should not think like that. rather than digging out his misdeed / wrong doing we best can leave it for his irrelevant nature of success and contribution. The best of the achievers let remain dignified as they are and better we talk about Prof Amartya Sen , Mr. LK Advani or Mr. somnath Chatterjee and alike , They deserve it and rightly from the right back ground and success.
Its is only your point of view that you see Amitabh in that Context. There are many faces of him as Gracious Man. What great Mr. VV Giri did Extra Ordinary or Mr. Jail Singh or Mrs. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil? All of them enjoyed the post lavishly on Public Cost, they were no at all deserving one. I am not saying Amitabh is Best Choice but can be one of few?
