Reservation based on religion/caste is an aspersion on Secular credentials of India. Remove caste based reservation completely...

What financial condition? In India if you give 10000 to govt. official he will issue poor certificate to even Ambani.

Reservations has gone to the roots. Well I believe that reservation was brought in to help the SC/ST and Backward classes but now people want reservation as a basis for securing admission in schools and colleges, in jobs, then promotion, pension etc. Where is the end to it. In Tamilnadu there is reservation for promotion. SC/ST people need to be promoted first. Where are we going to ? If this is the case then there can be no OBC Quota. All quota only for reservations. Even in Cricket, Fine arts, Movies, etc. We will be doomed.
His statement is exactly correct, it not a chocolate to pickup on streets. How can a IAS's officer's son from SC/ST/OBC can claim reservations under quota. This privilege of giving quota at the the time of framing constitution was adopted by taking situation at that time. Now so many changes taken place. Now a days caste is not criteria for defining backwardness. Let them take economic condition as basis for reservation. Present system is helping few wealthy people from SC/ST/OBC. Remaining real adivasis are languishing in forests of Jarkhand,Chatisgarh,Orissa etc. Unless and until these real tribals are uplifted, Naxal problem will not be solved.

First of all Reservation should be limited to Education. After education, any job should be based on merit. How can you risk your life in the hands of an engineer who build and Bridge and who barely passed his BE/Diploma?
I think time has come to say good bye to RESERVATION policy from India. Every opportunity must be for competitive and talented citizen of India.But alas! as long as vote bank politics is here, there is no chance of abolishing Reservation. Hardik Patel is Right at his place. And why Hardik-patel-patidar, every citizen of India has equal fundamental right to ask and agitate for reservation to force to say good bye to vote bank politics vs Reservation policy.
