Patels cannot demand reservation as amatter of right OBCs and delits are a suppressed lot for several generations,advasis are still languishing and do not get any formal or informal support from the govt officials who do not have empathy for their fellow citizen the down trodden lot Until such time their conditions are improved in a tangible manner the reservation cannot be with drawn. Reservation to other commun ities are are to withdrawn in a phased manner after verifyingtheir liviing conditions but not at the stoke of a bell or strike

if Solankis consider themselves as KSHATRIYAS how can they demand reservation. Under Savarna concept PATELS are FOURTH VARNA and hence it is justified. Can Kshatriyas demand reservation?Then RAJPUTS/KHATRIS OF PUNJAB/BHUMIHARS can very well demand reservation.

Backwardness is not just a matter of varna/ancestry as you think. You have yourself explained why you are wrong.
It is high time that all those castes who are demanding reservation should be invited to join the army, navy, airforce and allied border military & para military forces complete their quota in these organizations and then be eligible for cushy jobs in central, state govts and local police force.

Why do you think these Forces don't have reservations? There should be no doubt about their functioning properly. If they have serious problems, the result will be disastrous.
It is high time that all those castes who are demanding reservation should be invited to join the army, navy, airforce and allied border military & para military forces complete their quota in these organizations and then be eligible for cushy jobs in central, state govts and local police force.

When the Armed Forces recruit, the response is always massive. Surely it includes all sections.

these people want only khushi jobs they are not prepared to do mannual jobs-as said joining army navy etc is infradig for them . In kerala lakhs of people enjoying foreign jobs are even collecting the doles for unemployed while the bengalis biharis are doing mannual job like anything from kerala and sending the funds to their kith and kin in theirn hometown earning money

That shows the bad conditions in large areas of India, such as Bihar, Orissa and the Northeast. There are instances of people pledging their land in Bihar so that their children can study in Kerala!
