Jihadis like the author can only think in terms of religion. The fact is the Aurengjeb was the worst Mughal emperor and hence his name needs to be removed. He was a fanatic who brutally killed his Brothers and imprisoned his father is good enough to remove his name. Why support that mad man?
Aurangzeb, Shah Jahan and Jahangir that should be taken off roads and other public places in India.
The names of every emperor and every king - whether hyndu, muxlim or any other should be obliterated from public spaces. Each one of them was, in their very being, a tyrant for common people - taking much more or immensely more than they ever gave or appeared to give.
No king or emperor in history deserves the respect of the people. All of them are to be relegated to the footnotes of history.
Dear Ashraf, you have surpassed Kejriwal and indeed all politicians in diverting the whole issue and giving it new colors. Kejriwal is just as excited as me and millions of Indians about giving due recognition to the great man, the ex-president. It is a recognition to the ordinary muslim over emperors. About the renaming of Shahjahan or Jahangir roads, let us wait for some more noble souls as great as APJ Abdul Kalam who can effectively erase the names of these tyrants by offering a role model to the youth of modern pluralistic India.
