The Author has missed one point. Moguls introduced a non-Muslim tax on those who practiced a religion then Muslim. Emperor Akbar abolished it but Aurangzeb re-introduced it.
The History of Moguls is glorified in India and it should corrected to give factual version of their rule mostly in north india.

the_author meant to say that because aurangazeb had lived like a fakir makes him free of the sins he committed in ordering execution of many innocents ? then what is the use of living like a fakir when you are a cruel person, who infact killed his far more scholastic brother_darashikho. the author should rise above his faith in matters of journalism.

From the last 65 years, we are bearing the agony of reservation, so far no correction, similarly from the last 67 years-poor have multiplied-all at tax payers cost. None of the politician or govt. servant is made accountable for such situation.
Very exact and point to point article from the author. I appreciate the efforts. All things mentioned is real truth and not what garbage we learned during our school time and shown in some fake tv serials and movies.
I agree that targeting only Aurangazeb is not fair. Other rulers whose names have been mentioned with justification do not deserve to be respected. It will be a bad example for the next generation. retain only those names like Dr. APJ Kalam who can be role models the generations to come and remove all the names who have been cruel, looters etc. Will Kejriwal listen and correct this?
One salute to rediff to print such moronic articles.Rediff is in the habit of publishing many such anti national articles.Some much so that i have a feeling that many rediff staff may be close to terrorists and maoists.I request CBI and NSA to have a security check on all rediff staff and management to catch and remove such anti national elements.
