There were some politicians who were responsible for sterilisation of scores of Indians during 1975 – 77. We Indians build their statues and honour them. Do you want a repeat of that era?
If you agree to that, I will also support the idea. But think about the rate of increase in population in other countries, rate of increase in population in India in different groups based on economic stature, cast, religion, state, ethnicity, etc. before you form an unbiased opinion to merit support from others.

political will needed!!!
by Sandeep Singh on May 27, 2015 02:35 PM

Every problem can have a solution- whether easy or stringent but for this particular problem, a great political will is needed because some sections of human population are bound to be hit and ruling politicians seldom dare to annoy anyone deliberately. So, political will to implement the required steps is still not there in the country. So, nobody from Govts ever comes forward with a concrete solution...

Every one critising current life style. we have to go ahead with tree planting & CO2 reduction process.
NGO & Govt institution are not taken any initiatives to improve the situation.
Even Met department also not recommanding any solution , simply critizing the current situation is Pathatic.
As per my knowledge Met dept, NGOs & Environment related profesionla are responsible for this kind of disaster.
till now nobody is intersted for betterment or solutions.

Worldwide ban on using toilet paper, ban on newspaper printing and ban on usage of paper bags for shopping (bringing back plastic) will save more trees than is ever needed for us to plant.

CO2, by the way, is not what causes global warming, contrary to popular belief. Sun storm or solar flares is the cause behind the heating up.

Not to worry, human descendants will someday be fighting against global cooling as the sun is gradually getting further away and is burning itself out. Not sure whether the human descendants will be called human anymore at that time or not!

Man's greediness to be checked, if it is not well within the limits, people just go on cutting trees, and constructing concreat apartments, it is nothing but foolishness, as a fellow cutting the branch where he sit. Each home should have at least 2 to 4 trees, discourage removing plants and constructing rooms and giving for rent, U may get money but not pure air, which results health problems like wheezing, hiper tension, acidity for which people have to pay very huge money and loose mental peace. Global phenomena!
by Ramesh Kapoor on May 26, 2015 09:37 PM

Cut more forests, give land to sharks, use pesticides, create unseasonal weather changes, etc. etc. All this helps. Even the great Amazon forests in South America are being decimated slowly but surely. India is no exception. The Himalayas, the Ghats, have been or being made barren. Cong has ruined India. All the coal mines being turned into black deserts with no hope of reafforestation. Go on and on. This is India but not my India. My India would need people who can work and talk less!

Control heatwave.

Deforestation, industrialization, explosive increase of population, setting up of concrete jungle in cities are main reasons of mercury being shoot up globally especially in India. Need of the hour is to emphasize setting up of economy based on agriculture, effective check on population growth, planting of trees on priority basis, decentralization of offices to avoid flocking of rural population in urban areas and at the same time developing urban and semi urban localities. Not being an expert, I put forward a few suggestions from my common sense, we have no dearth of experts and scientists in the country, let them take over and start work on war footings for the benefit of our future generation whom we leave behind. I don't abhor to industrialization, it is badly needed but proper planning is badly required.
