One of old Person was attacked because of he was a Brahmin, i think his "Name Ceremony" was done by some Brahmin/s , even political party office name inauguration Pooja must be done by some of our Brahmin/s, you can't think your daily life and special occasion like marriage , gruh Pravash etc. with a Brahmin/s. We should respect old age person of any cast ,any religion , they are the assets of our Country, they have lots of knowledge and experience.

what pleasure do the attackers get by attacking an old man and what political statement are they trying to pass the only word used for such people are Cowards of the best order
What enmity Late Periyar had on Brahmins of Tamil Nadu is unknown. From late 40s and mid 50s I have seen this aggression in Trichy. The names of roads in Chennai were altered to bear only Proper Names and Cast Titles were deleted mainly Iyer, Iyengar, Chari, Chetty, Mudaliar, Pillai etc. But "THE FROGS OF WELL COULD ONLY DELETE THE CASTE TITLES USED IN TAMIL NADU. THEY DO NOT KNOW THAT GANDHI, PATEL, PANDIT, MODI, VAJPAI, NAIDU,BOSE, BANERJEE etc. are also caste titles. Next if the so called Secular Governments be really Secular, why there should be a caste census and different treatments to different States?

The enmity engendered by this Periyar (meaning, great man!) was due to both his ignorance and huge disappointments and disgruntlement in politics. At that time the political arena was so vigorous and purposeful, and activities were carried on by dedicated patriots and luminaries, including brahmin and non brahmin people of whom Rajaji stood pre-eminent with an all-India stature. Periyar then took to anti brahmin planks hiding them by saying that he was a social reformer, rationalist, atheist, and opponent of 'Aryan' racism (which was then a pet hypothesis of Christian hordes of converting missionaries often wearing also a mask of Western scholars in Indology). This Periyar hated politics which had disappointed him so much earlier, and denounced his own disciples Karunanidhi and Annadurai when them split off from Periyar's movenpment to acquire power through politics and then to miduse it for thrusting their notions of "social reforms" woven on vote bank politics of holding Brahmins as the source of backwardness of all non Brahmins. The backwardness itself was an invention since the "backward" people themselves did not think they were backward just because they did not mostly aspire for "high" positions or fame in fields demanding more intellectual power than manual or physical aptitudes. With the Dravidian (equated to non-Brahmin) ascent to power , these politicians began to inulge in gross misuse of power whose history spans from dismissal

Periyar himself was having and porting the caste title NAICKER. It seems to be a perverversion due to which he started SUYA MARIYAADAI IYAKAM or Self Respect Movement. Me being a Brahmin the total hatred created by Brahmins once upon a time, still continuing Upper and Lower castes in almost all states. The system remains in all castes while Brahmins being the feeble become skapegoats.
Inspite of Periyar lousy movement people in TN are very religious which can be seen in temple functions.Ilayaraja self respected hindu denied to play music for periyar movie as it is againsit his faith. We need such conviction.Being silent against this goondas for is the only mistake by tamilians which is encouraging them.If their in other state periyar folks would get what they deserve
The fact that a bunch of goons would target an elderly person to make a political point shows how out of control these political parties are. These thugs care very little about the actual social problems that we should solve. They are now the part of the problem.
