don't kill animals
by amit agarwal on Mar 25, 2015 06:30 PM  | Hide replies

don't kill animals. focus on importing vegetables, fruits, selling juices, fast foods, veg restaurants etc. when mill land can be converted into sprawling malls why can't slaughter houses be converted into beautiful showrooms or shops. that itself will give many times more earnings.

Whatever the reason it is banned. Why do you support that? Maybe some people in middle east want to eat pork.

Beef ban and morcha
by jasmine on Mar 25, 2015 06:23 PM

The era of people participating in morchas are a matter of past. Anna Hazare conducted his morcha successfully in Delhi\'s Jantar Mandir, attended by unprecedented crowd, but he was disappointed by the crow at MMDRA ground Bandra. But his agitation later thrown out the UPA govt for its arrogance and mis governance. So the thinly attended rally against beef ban is not to be taken seriously. Even the BJP cannot claim that they returned to power in Mahrashtra with the support of their traditional voters.Citizens of all communities voted them to power for change of the corrupt Congress NCP Govt. The problem in India is that the govt once voted to power forget the voters sentiments, and they implement their hidden agenda. Now the people who voted them to power have to wait for 5 years, that is the next elections. Then they will have the choice as to who should rule. Most of the politicians are hypocrites. They tell something and o something. If the BJP govt take such steps that hurt the sentiments and even the food habits of a good sections of the people, the people have no chance but to wait for next elections and vote them out and bring some govt who can actually run the country on a true secular way. The system in India is that once voted to power, the voters have no way to control their elected reps, but to tolerate. See how the section 66A of IT act was passed by one of the most corrupt Minister of this country. Even the PM who intervened was bluntly told not to interfere

Nobody cares
by bakchod on Mar 25, 2015 06:18 PM

If nobody showed up for the protest it means that by and large people don't care about this issue. Only a small section is affected. 90-95% of the bull-meat was being exported to Arabian peninsula. Only 5-10% was used domestically.

People are not going to starve. Eat vegetables, eggs, etc.

And if demand for chicken, mutton and fish increases, then the people should join that business for their livelihood.

I support the ban. But i cannot say this is a bogus morcha. The govt. shall come out with proper plans to create alternate employment for those who were employed by abbotoirs.

importantly, Govt. should enlighten people that A LIVING farm animal which will enrich the soil and help farmers throughout its life will be much much more than the yield a dead animal's meat gives. And fertilizer import bills of govt. would drastically come down.

You can farmPiggs if you want jobs. If you want to farm beef, go to pakistan. Such kind of employment is not needed in INdia.
