dark future for wild life in India!
by Sandeep Singh on Jul 16, 2015 10:20 AM

With more than 44000 people getting added up in population in India EVERYDAY, what else can you expect?? Under pressure governments have no option but to give in to corporates to generate employment for burgeoning Indian population since they have neither guts nor political will on controlling population.

Wildlife Sanctuaries area in India
by Om Prakash Kasana on Jun 21, 2015 12:59 PM

This shows how the Govt is supporting Corporates in this country whereas peoples living around these areas are being evicted to other places. This is an real agenda of every Govt in the name of development. Destruction of wildlife is regarded as development in this nation only who propogate that this earth mother have sufficient to everyone need but not greed whereas Govt every effort is for fulfilling corporate greed by destroying these habitates which will be no longer on this country\'s map.

by Sudipta Ganguly on Jun 19, 2015 06:52 PM

It is really tough to believe that sanctuaries in Sikkim decreased by 82% and WB by 50%. There must be something being hidden here, may be method of calculation and others.

It seems TN doing v well to increase the Forest Area. In 2006 the Area for 2500 , but in 2014, the area is 5500 sqft. Not sure the numbers were correct

this might have done at the very cost of displacement the tribal, that is done if that is one, it is very natural the like human, most of the wild life has chosen to have displaced habitat, but is the data that where to be true, that is good sign for india

Forrest sanctuarys
by Hitendra Singh on Jun 05, 2015 12:17 AM

In many sanctyarys due to population pressure wild life have decreased.
All Sanctuarys/wild life parks where animal sighting is less must have a safari parks to show to casual tourist a sample of of wild life available in the park. Then excess population in the park cud be released in the sanctuary..
Forest guards must be given pepper spray cans for self protection besides walky talkies.
Drones must also be provided to do arial patrolling..
Big rewards to informers and forest staff in case of poachers arrest must be provided for.In days of mobile phones poachers sighting cud be easily reported.
Lastly all villages on outskirts of sanctuarys must have low cost mud huts for night stay of tourists wanting to get away for a break from mad city life..
The villagers would then also perforce protect the sanctuary as their own..
Supreme and High Court must monitor all cases where forest areas are denotified..
