please relook at the report, its from 2006 to 20014, in that period MOST OF THE STATE NOW GOVERENED BY BJP WERE UNDER CONGRESS,,example Rajasthan , Maharahtra, jammu and kashmir,,what does that mean Jayanti tax or Jijaji tax????
It appears fantastic only on reading the head lines of numbers increase of sanctuaries if one look on area covered will be fooled as more than 20% is vanished without an account is only because of Government going hand in hand with vested interest as the power is concentrated with in. The Government is spending huge money on green energy in the garb of technology a mere white wash should divert in afforesting so that wild life and green cover both get rejuvenation.
now a day government give forest area to manning mafia influence political minister. As show in Bhopal tigers escape from jungle. It is not development sign. It would be dangerous for human. In our culture follow a slogan \"jiyo aur jine do\"
A LARGE POLITICAL WILL is what is required....human habitation around the sanctuaries can be restricted to the extent it is needed without allowing for semi-urbanization anywhere within 50kms or so from the periphery of these sanctuaries....the larger human population of those in the neighbourhood can very well be shifted and rehabilitated in vacant land AWAY from these sanctuaries. Protecting sanctuaries has the twin gain of raising forests and wild-life population.
Systamatic exploitation of forest wealth by govt officials willing politicians is responsible for this state of affairs.Details are available but who will bell the Cats?

Correct. Recently I visited Kajiranga a world heritage in Assam. There is sorry state of affairs in all respects. There is regular poaching, Lapse Security and encroachment of forest land. Corruption at all level is the root cause. I request the present BJP Govt. to save this prestigious forest.
In the name of wildlife sanctuaries the adivasis are forced to leave their ancestral home land by showing the threat of extinction of wild animals but they do not think that by displacing adivasis from their dwelling place they are killing adivasis "a human being" just like you and me.
