Modi Govt
by tejindar singh on Jul 19, 2015 12:47 PM

We voted him to power on three counts. One good and clean govt and two Modi as a strong impartial leader.Three, a great extent (45-55 seats) Modi won on communal card also.Saffronisation.
We have been proved wrong, on several counts. BJP Defence that Cong did 84, Bansal (corrupt) so what if we did 2002, Sushma swaraj, Raje and Chauhan, these are excusable. Can a murder accused put up defence that Mr A had committed murder so I (Mr B) can commit murder too and get away. All top brass of BJP has this line of defence.
Next, Communal harmony, the speaking of BJP ldrs are venomous. They can not be swept under the carpet.Obama had to tell us that Indian Constitution gives every ciotizen right to follow ant religion.
Next. UPA was weak in dealing with Pak, what has NDA done to stop terror or x-border firing.-Nothing concrete.
All finance policies of UPA are being put forward with changed name.
I call it "Spit & Lick" Govt. During 2009-14 they spat at every thing UPA did (Nuclear deal, GST, FDI in retail, Pak and B Desh policy etc) and disrupted parliament , now they are licking what they had spat! Worried about parliament logjam, Modi and Jaily are crying. The Govt has three ppl talking, Modi Jaitly and Smriti. What status has smriti in parliament or party...from Gujrat and close to Modi. These are no credentials! oTHER MINISTERS LOOK LIKE WET RATS , SCARED LEST THROWN OUT OF gOVT FOR OPENING THEIR MOUTH.

Modi and his Govt. is doing a wonderful job.
by Rajveer Singh Pawaiya on Jul 19, 2015 12:42 PM

I think Modi and Govt. is doing excellent job. Forget cries from Congress & other opposition and basing of Rahul, who have no other business now to be heard. In fact opposition, especially Congress, have already lost and forfeited credibility to be preachy and judgmental about Modi and its Govt. India knows what they have done during last 60 years. It is only Congress\'legacy that India is still having highet poors, illiterate, and shabbily looking places around everywhere. They never wanted people tyo be literate else their vote bank will go. Now give Modi little time and he will do wonders to this country, the trailer of which is already clearly visible. Because he is the real Indian contryman, not some pseudonemous dynastic hire who always strive to reign by hook or crook, by taking anti-hindu and promuslim/proterror stances in the name of secularism, they actually worked against the larger interest of the nation, just to keep their seats and reign. Their baffling outcries in an attempt to survive will die down in due course, as the Indian public now understood the truth.

Modi

Narendra Modi is doing a great job.He is the best political leader that India has seen in recent times.Being an Ex Defence officer with no political inclinations, I can surely say that the morale of the Armed forces which was at all time low, has become very high, economy is looking up, image of India in international scene at its peak, sound foundations being laid in terms of economic and social policies.I think Narendra Modi should be there at the helm if Indians including the poorest of the poor want to see better life. They should not fall prey to false propaganda of opposition parties who have lost their creibility

Inspiring speeches vs performance
by VG Patel on Jul 18, 2015 06:34 PM  | Hide replies

Even his most ardent admirers like me feel emabarassed and let down by Modiji' failure as a leader. He had great opportunities while converting crises into opportunities as Vaishnav has cited.Firm action against Sushma's indiscretion; Chauhan's dillydallying about credible inquiry in Vyapam murders; no nonsense dealing with state Govt. and those who are flying Pakistani and ISIS flags; and strong military actions including entering LOC to clean up the Paki trouble makers who keep killing Indian soldiers and civilans.
By not even speaking about these crises, is he hiding like the Ostrich? That other successes will make us forget these failures? Even if yes, is this what he promised us before elections? No sir. Mr.Modi, get a grip on governance before it is late.

Modi has not failed as a leader. Stop being so swayed by propaganda. And Sushma or Chauhan or even Vasundhara have not done anything wrong at least till date. There is no question of any action against them.

The only point where Modi is not very active is managing his image and exposing opposition lies to tarnish his image.

He should speak a bit more and communicate more with the people of india on these issues that are important for his image.

Modi the Mouni
by on Jul 18, 2015 10:58 AM

After making a commitment to the electorate that neither will he indulge in corruption or allow his ministers to do the same, there has been a silence from the prime minister. There are corruptions against many Ministers and Leaders of BJP in Centre as well as the States and these are all brushed away as 'Silly" but slowly the truth is coming out. However, the PM does not want to admit nor willing to take action fearing of a collapse of the empire he built.

I have always wondered that why do people become preachy when they move abroad. Is it because you want to sound American, which in fact will always consider you as an outsider because of the colour of your skin. How many Indian boys get married to American woman. A true reflection of acceptance in the society. This will never change because these things run deep in the blood of Americans. The authors lack of exposure to India and its diversity is palpable.

It is laughable when he talks of suppresion of freedom of expression ( when his article without editing is reaching us), religious intolerance - (when this country has the max no. of religions in the world with peaceful co-existnce for centuries) and civil society - Whats this - a select few . Rest all are not civil.
This country is based on tolerance which is centuries old and every religion is practicing the way it wants to. If somebody says something it is also freedom of expression. You counter it. Is anybody engaing in violence. Have there been riots like a predominantly Christian America.
With respect to corruption you cant label these incidents as corruption. At best these are improprieties which could have been avoided. And Lalit Modi is not a criminal. If he is then so is Jyotiraditya scindia, Rajiv shukla and many others who were called by ED in the IPL issue of SA. All tbe issues were jointly decided by 16 people and the BCCI chairman was the one calling the shots. Pls have your facts clear.

Under a "renowned" economist PM earlier under UPA, this country was brought to a great disaster unheard of earlier. Now BJP and Modiji is repairing the damage which requires time, energy and initiatives, which are being put in place. People should have patience. They suffered untold miseries for ten years earlier, without making noise. Now within ten months they make a lot of noise!! And what do the socalled specialists of the Western world know about the ground realities of India? They have no business to comment on our state of economy or social life, unless they come down to India and personally see the situation. Now they are believing the one sided propaganda machinery which is activated by the present Opposition which is jealous of Modi's unprecedented rise and fame.

Capialist conspiracy on Indian democracy
by Anil Bharali on Jul 17, 2015 07:59 AM  | Hide replies

Indian democracy is base on sound "democratic republic ' perception. Democracy will respepect majority's opinion while republic perception will defend big number o Indian minorities' right. So once RSS was dreaded opponent to Indian democratic republic perception now we have see how fundamentalist forces within Indian political establishment attempts to derail Indian democracy

For the western world, anything which majority does is communal, what the minority does is secular! This is the tragedy.
