Big Talk but.....
by Srinivasan Iyer on Jul 15, 2015 01:27 PM  | Hide replies

He got elected with a massive majority as voters expected better governance. So far we have only seen or heard good intentions but the ground realities are totally different. As the ECONOMIST described him as a "ONE MAN BAND". And nothing moves when this leader of the Band is not around and is trying to see the world! Most of these visits have not yielded any positive gain for the country. After blaming the UPA for s dual control, the same duality in control is present now at a more serious level. Even kind perception finds that nepotism, interference in CBI and judiciary is sensed. Promises made are either forgotten or sidestepped. He cannot govern with a team that is wholly dependent on him. Even senior Minister have to once in a few weeks to pay praise to him.It is unfortunate that such a big opportunity with a massive majority is being frittered away. Politicians of all parties are painted with the same brush. That has to change drastically>

I have voted for Modi... he has done a lot in 1 year! It is clear you have not voted for him, so pls wait for 4 more years to vote for Kangis. But let me tell you, as musch as you try, Kangis will not come to power for the next 25 years! By the way, whatever Modi does or achieves, kangi pseudos like you will always say that he hasn't done anything!

Biased questioning
by bakchod on Jul 15, 2015 01:10 PM  | Hide replies

The way the questions were asked, it seems that the interviewer was trying to get negative replies about the Modi govt. But she could not accomplish her motives because the respondent was mature and balanced.

Forgotten promise
by ramesh yadav on Jul 15, 2015 01:03 PM  | Hide replies

On 13 sep 2013, Mr Modi, The then CM Gujrat spoke at a rally in Rewari that he publicly demands from Govt of India to publish a white paper on One Rank One Pension for the defence veterans. He probabely kicked off his elelction from here and ex-soldliers whole heartly supported him across the country. But the promise is broken. He, RM and his party are silent on issue.. The veterans are on relay hunger strike since last 31 days and no one in the government is bothered about them. Very sad indeed .

We owe great respect to the Indian Army and every Indian citizen s proud of it.

However, we need to analyse whether the country can afford the so called one rank and one pension. The expected outgo is in thousands of crores, which in the given circumstances the country may not be in a position to afford it. Govt know it and dithering now.

As regarding Modi''s announcement he is a politician and go for any extent to garner vote, that's it.

Also it may pave way for all central govt employees first and then state govt employees later. Just imagine ..... So it is practically not feasible.
We must be happy what we are getting at present and don't compare with the package of current generation.

Lot of things were said and promised when in opposition, now that one year of regime is over, there is very little to show for what has been achieved. But not finding few minutes fo meet those retired soldiers undertaking relay fast is insult to the sacrifices made by soldiers for the nation.

The change is indigestible.
by mukesh mhetre on Jul 15, 2015 12:53 PM  | Hide replies

This country, press and the people are so habitual of the congress party rule, that they do not digest any other party. This is the second time that the congress party is reduced to just 42 MP's in the parliament. The congress party and other regional parties are desperate that they would not allow the government to function. The congress party is facing
cash crunch to run the party. The party which had ruled the country for more than 50 years is in this position with all sorts of corruption. Now there is no charismatic leader in the Gandhi family. The elder congressmen only take the shield of Gandhi family and make their life comfortable.

What do these morons sitting in plush overseas offices know the ground realities in India. Based on a few channels shouting ' corruption, scandal' , these self-appointed experts know absolutely nothing. Their views do not count
