Modi aur BJP to gayo re bhaaya
by M S on Feb 12, 2015 11:39 AM  | Hide replies

The 10 Lakhs suit, which is more costlier than 10 years of salary for the people who voted him to power, did not go down well. Modi was seen as someone from humble background and would understand the poor. With his suit, he actually turned out to be a self aggrandising insecure megalomaniac.
Adding to this, Amit Shah says, people have taken the Chunaavi Jumle seriously, it is not BJPs fault. The two big blunders that would drown Modi-Shah and in turn BJP.

It is not a valid point but analyze the out come scenario. The intelligence reports have possibly forecast ed aap's victory .Shri Amith Shaw was having two options. One is to nominate some one from BJP or nominate smt Bedijee. The pros and cons are if BJP member is nominated his history do speak a defeat to BJP but no.of candidates winning may slightly more.Smt Bedijee nomination may break the consolidated AAP votes in to two by which AAP winning can be checked. This Shri Amith Shaw's logic totally failed as AAP has already consolidated the minority and poor voters support.Secondly the workers in BJP also felt disappointed and did not show any effort for BJP's winning.Contrary at field level many BJP locals possibly canvased for AAP candidates, betraying their own party candidate. This fact can be clearly understood by the BJP MP from ChandaniChowk talks in TV.This requires the candidate from party at local level. Thus election is played like business.Candidates never hesitate to betray the party they belong.smt KIran Bedijee was not Delhi based and not a BJP senior member also.Knowing this it cannot be ruled out that shri Amith Shaw and shri Modijee were prepared to accept the anticipated defeat by eliminating congress, as AAP also has same goal to eradicate corruption like shri Modijee this combination may work well. Shri Modijee also need to chose words well while delivering the speeches.BJP leaders also need to take confidence of the local leaders without any ego and complexi

Over 90% of Congress voters have transferred their votes to AAP whom they see as a better alternative to stop the BJP.

And the fact that the right wing loony brigade of sadhus & sadhvis went about ranting & raving, put off a lot of people who had voted for the BJP.

But again AAP should keep in mind that people all over India voted for Narendra Modi and the BJP because he was their choice for the PM and national interest was of paramount importance then.

Instead of making grandiose plans at the national level AAP would do well if they work at the local level and govern well. After all Delhi is not a big state and can be managed much more easily than a UP or Bihar or Bengal or Maharashtra.

If the AAP can expand into the badlands of UP and Bihar, we might see a real cleansing of the system and an alternative to thugs and charlatans such as Mulayam and Laloo and of course put crass politicians like Mayawati in her place.

It really does seem time to write the political obit of the Congress under the first family!

Issue based politics.
by Raghunandanan on Feb 12, 2015 10:59 AM

It is good to have issue based politics rather than religion/caste based politics. But Govt. should not encourage people migrate to cities to just encroach upon Govt.lands, make juggis/jhopdis and get it regularized through the issue based politicians. The problem lies in why they encroach the government land at all, and why the local administration keep their eyes shut when the encroachments takes place. It can be seen that more than 70% of this category are coming from two states. Another funny thing is, once they are allotted an accommodation, they sell it off, go to their native place and buy land there, come back to another part of the city and make a juggi again. Is this not another way of damaging the government exchequer ? Will AAP be able to stop this or encourage them for popularity ?

The people who are

the most disappointed with the Delhi election results are not Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Mohan Bhagwat (though they are indeed mortally afraid that their Goebbelsian campaigns are now beginning to be ignored by commoners).

The men who are actually the most disappointed with the bursting of the myth of Modis invincibility in elections are Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, Kumarmangalam Birla, etc !

Thus far, these creatures were very comfortable with either the Congress or the BJP holding power in turns. These two parties did not make any difference to them. Both were and are available at their beck and call.

But now, they fear that a political power or powers not beholden to their vested interests may displace the Congress / BJP duo in time !

YSR ex CM of AP state gave many many things free and now the state is poppear. In West Bengal CPI gave all free bies and now it is bankrupt and no industry. Adjacent Odissa did good governance and getting elected election after election. Now In Delhi AAP does West Bengal or AP state of YSR or just enjoys CM ship time will tell. Also to watch is people want freebies or development in a methodical way that is the hall mark of Modi ji in last 7 months. Time will tell. Truely speaking if coraption is reduced by 80% there can be happiness everywhere and inflation will come down and remains low for years. I all one fact remains in Indian context even today 45% of population needs Govt help, support and aid in more ways than one. This requirement of people is a true need and not any greed. This also jas to be met and this is possible only if Govts or corapt free with Good Governance. But simple freebies with out a simultaneous developoment agenda will make India a West Bengal or Bihar.

It is not the delhi Govt's Job to wipe each and every one's Tears. Help them to wipe their own Tears. Install Biometrics in delhi Govt Office.
Each Govt official and Politician should stay within his known source of Income. I am sure AAP's MLAs are clean. It will become a habit for ppl who are not able to help themselves.
Getting Job is not easy so also giving Job is not easy. Govt should stop spoon feeding and Populism. Electricity is not produced free of cost and water filtration is also not free. No loss No profit one can give.

Message for Three Parties
by Rahul maya on Feb 12, 2015 09:57 AM  | Hide replies

This time the Delhi voters have acted in Anger and Angst with the three parties albeit with different messages.

1) AAP- Last time the mandate was not sufficient and you abandoned the throne and left us in the lurch mid way. This time no such excuses to run away from your poll promises and here are the 67 seats for you, absolute majority, and dont have to look over your shoulder to see what the oppn parties are upto. Now dont show your heel.

2) BJP- Dont take the voters for granted for they are wise and discerning. The 8/9 months of power at the centre since May,2014 has not brought about any concerete developments in terms of price rise and job creation.

3) Congress- You were given 15 years of rule and the performance was lacklusture, riddled in corruption and price rise. This time no account in Delhi assembly is a lesson for the party.

Now I hope, for every promises they made, they should not blame that the Center is not supporting and make it an issue in front of the media. State Govt. has to perform, like all other states do.
