Dear Pavithra, really perturbed by the extent of devastation caused by the unprecedented rains in Chennai. Our hearts goes out to our brothern in Chennai and salute their indomitable spirit to overcome the odds. I wish I could be of help, but advanced age prevents me from travelling, help being restricted to some monetary donation. My daughter who was on a training programme by her employers, is also held up in Chennai due to flight cancellations. She called just now to say that air tickets are being issued for Monday evening flights. I salute all Chennaites once again; We all stand by you.
humanity would have won when people dont litter on the road, humanity would have won when we dont elect corrupt representative according to our convenience. what has won now is empathy and kindness. nothing more. am more than sure this will happen again and again and most importantly we deserve it.
When I read this tears roll down from eyes, I am at Office Nr. Foreshore estate , residing at Besant Ngr Central Govt Quarters without power for two days , which is minimum comparing to others stranded with flood

Dear Shri. Modi,, Atleast tell the politicians of india not to cut downn trees in the coastal areas atleast from now in the name of development. Storms and heavy rainfall occur in coastal areas only due to global warming. let us grow trees and preserve mountains in the coastal areas.. becoz they protect us from natural disasters.. hope u can pass this message in your mann ki baat..

I don't know whether this will come to the notice of our beloved PM. But true; in the name of DEVELOPMENT every part of the NATURE or in other words MOTHERLAND has to be protected, otherwise such things would keeps on repeating whether in the form of Maline (western Maharastra)or Kedarnath Landslides or the devastating floods of few years back of Eastern UP and Bihar. Is any one in Govt. of India ready to a have patience hear to it.
Stop annoying with disgusting reports.. reach out to the ground level and help the maximum people.. Hope media mindset change atleast in the needy times.
lots of important inputs. One issue is that people have lost faith on the video journalists, reason being, the BREAKING NEWS syndrome, every news channel is trying to be one up on each other, they couldt care less of the real issues, after all who owns them.
