We all are for it, but want to finish DA linked pension to all govt. servants who have and are looting the country, we know a Lecturer was getting a pension of Rs.17000 p.m. in 2006 today he is getting Rs.55000 per month due to dA linking, Save all tax payers for such loot, or make everyone a pensioner-link it with DA not EPFO. Will Govt. be dare enough to take correction and stop the country to become Greece.

its good that after retirement people got pension more than 15000. go and see factories where worker got salary below 10000 and work dangerous conditions and dont know when there job lost. U people got good salary till retirement and after retirement got sufficient amount to live good. but your greed increasing like indian population.

OROP for jawans
by on Aug 27, 2015 10:19 AM

Since it is a decided case, OROP for the jawans be immediately implemented. Subsequently, viability and justification for extending the same to the officers can be debated and finalized if required. In fact OROP for the officers are not justified. If Govt. feels this will be extended to the officers, an under taking is to be taken that they will not take up any job thereafter, paving way for many unemployed youths to get employment. These Army Officers taking employment after retirement deprives opportunity for millions of unemployed youths. Youth are the back bone of the country.

tHE ARTICLE AND THE BELLIGERENT REPLIES PROBABLY BY RETIRED OR WORKING SERVICE PERSONNEL ARE THE EXTREME VIEWS OF THE SPECTRUM. THE TRUTH IS SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN AND PROBABLY THE GOVERNMENT IS HAVING A GENUINE PROBLEM. I DON'T THINK THE AMOUNT OF 8,300 CRORES OR MAY BE 15000 CRORES IS THE MAIN ISSUE. DEFINITELY THERE IS SOME TECHNICAL PROBLEM WHICH THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT IN A POSITION TO SPELL OUT. THE SERVICE PEOPLE HAVE TO SHOW SOME PATIENCE

Why sailor leave early
by vinod bakshi on Aug 27, 2015 09:18 AM

Min service required for pension is 15yrs for sailors once they complete this time they leave may be at age of 35 as they say after that time they are working for half the salary as 50% is there pension so why to work for 50% salary better to try some job outside.

Orop - Paramilitary Forces ?
by john MY on Aug 27, 2015 12:53 AM  | Hide replies

Like to remind Mr Sudhir Bhist that Assam rifles is the only paramilitary force in India. BSF, CRPF, ITBP etc are Central Armed Police Forces or Organisation. The writer lacks in-depth knowledge of the subject

Sudhir Bhist article is a planted news to create divide between officers and Jawans and to weaken the OROP struggle. There is no comparison between civil and military service

Is Sudhir Bisht aware that the Armed Forces hierarchy is highly pyramidical? 80% of bureaucrats are promoted to Joint Secretary rank within 15-16 yrs of service whereas only 8% of Armed Forces Officers reach Maj Gen or equivalent rank in 30 yrs! Do your homework better Mr Bisht.

LD Sharma:
How many % become Lt, Major, Lt Col, Col?
You seem to have skipped 95% of the officer ranks straightway.
