shame on modi
by Parthipan on Sep 22, 2014 07:08 PM  | Hide replies

modi was several times denied visa by US govt when he was CM, now he has been invited by the same US govt for strengthening ties between two countries, inspite rejected US offer he is jumping to visit US this shows he dont have the guts to resist and he is unfit to be the PM. He invited chinas president after his visit to india he has strengtened the indo-china border with more chinies force, this shows he and bjp is unfit to take this country forward.

You guys making a fundamental mistake

Modi is going to UN not US. That means he is not invited by US govt at least this time. Many other world leaders went to UN for delivering speech, like recently Gaddhafi.

Narendra Modi - the superman -
by piri on Sep 22, 2014 06:26 PM  | Hide replies

reduced world crude oil prices by an average of 12 % since coming to power in India four months ago !

For an Indian to do that is the equivalent of a fly vanquishing an elephant in straight battle !

There are going to be
by piri on Sep 22, 2014 06:15 PM  | Hide replies

frenetic welcome rallies by some Indian Americans in the US to receive Modi and make his visit hopefully catch the attention of the US and international media to an extent more than what earlier visits of Indian heads of government did.

And there are also going to be protest rallies by other Indian Americans trying their best to suggest to the general American public that Modi is undesirable as a guest.

But the reaction of the general American public - consisting chiefly of white Anglo Saxons - is going to be the same as it was for previous visits of Indian heads of government (or state).

Neither the welcomes nor the protests nor the visit itself will be noticed much or will remain in memory !

Like a hundred other immigrant communities in the US, the Indians too remain in a realm that is barely on the consciousness of the white Anglo saxon American !

It is only a few ethnic groups such as the Jews (the white Jews, that is), the Germans, the Chinese and the Japanese that are considered really noteworthy by the white Anglo saxons.
