Kudos to ISRO. Leadership and organisation culture makes the difference. HAL must be an unquestioned subsidy driven organisation with poor leadership. There is no inner urge for performance. Rewards are linked to achievements. A wholesale chane in team is only answer
see how modi ji helping india....after he became PM, ISRO got mars misiion, Mary Kom Gold, Kailash sir got nobel prize. fruits of hard work by Modi Ji. we trust you.

India used different technique to reach MARS. British media called it bullshit and latter apology for the same. I think you even can not copy and make food for youself.

Why don't you copy technology from somewhere and build a system to block mosquito & flies entering into your house. Talking is easy doing is tough, understand that.
Now that we have reached Mars, can we improve our border security. Here are few suggestions:
1) Build robots for border security and use them as first line of defence. Robots who are capable of firing gun shots if instructed. Ask the private sector to build one, give them some money( 50 - 100 cr) for R&D purpose. Deploy more than a lac of such robots in the border, and tell me if Pakistan dares to attack us. 2) Build drones for air reconnaisance and surveillance missions. 3) User laser fencing at the border. 4) Build real time missile defence system.
And yes, please don't involve DRDO/HAL/Ordnance factories for any of the above.
If we do all the above, war will be a thing of the past. We can have our absolute eye on development without worrying much about our enemies.
Mr. A K Antony( with MMS) slept being a nice person all these years. Hoping Mr. Modi would do something.

Arihant, Indigenous aircraft carrier, MBT arjun, LCA all reached fruition during Antony s tenure. Not to mention a host of long range missiles. he has fought the Import lobby in the Armed forces very hard, but one man can only do so much.

HAL is an organization with a culture where most of the employees just go there to have lunch and tea breaks and wait for the Siren to blow so that they can leave on time. The entire organization has to be sacked if India has to move forward in building defence equipments. DRDO was another such organization but due to its in between course correction by effecient leaders like APJ Abdul Kalam, it still has s some relevance. It's better to offload the defenece equipment manufacturing to the priavte sector as it has happened in the US. You will see lots of innovations happening within a short span of time.

The organisation culture of HAL must be very bad. It must be subsidy driven without any questioning. A wholesale change is the only remedy. DRDO also needs to be revamped.

Tata powere already has built a 155mm howitzer with indegineous ballastics they are begging for firing range.this gun could be made in large no. Its range is twice that of Bofors gun, which is a very good one.private sector should be allowed to codevelop with foreign partners if required.

Just imagine the difficulties and strugglesfaced by ISRO engineers in the early sixtiees. they were travelling by bicycles, or walking to reach the work place. scientific materials are transported by bullo-cart. they have strated everything from scratch and now become one of the prestigeous institution in the world. Kudos to ISRO engineers and its staff. HAL HAS STARTED WITH 5 Stat facilities but no major achievement till date??
