Maj Unnikrashnan died like brave soldier but (sorry to say) his comrades in NSG let him down. They took three days to kill four terrorists, what sort of operation it was? cowardly show by the NSG, to say the least. Then we talk (Modi ji listen) of getting ten heads for one indian killed.

No problem even if it took 3 days, we should be happy we didn't lose more soldiers.

Be safe than sorry

begging US for drone help to deal with Pak
by Sameer Bhagwat on Dec 06, 2014 11:49 PM  | Hide replies

ppl who say India must request US for help to tackle Pak must be kids who are yet to know the real world.

Their idea reminds me of a film where the hero, in all his innocence, keeps talking and divulging all his plans/fears/hopes to the very man he should NOT be telling anything. That man "encourages" the hero to keep talking, and offers empty platitudes (and zero concrete help). Needless to say, in the end, it turns out that he is the REAL RINGLEADER.

We don't need Drone, but Drona!!!

and as long as you keep boot=l1cking goras, you will never graduate from Drone - > Drona. :-)

we must face our bravehearts efforts to save us and appricate it. Even after seeing death and getting wounded Major Unnikrishnan returned the fire. He must have killed at least one of his assilients before making the supreme sacrifice for us

Indian army needs better training for such situations and need better equipment to fight.it is fool hardy to send in just 3-4 commandos to weed out such hardcore terrorists.

Just so you know, there was a competition among commandos organized by the South African Military and all the top military nations commandos participated. Indian military commandos stood first.

Dont make a fool out of yourself here by coming up with Military strike plans and lampooning the plans of the special forces officers. Please leave it to the Military planners to decide.

SPG vs NSG
by Ayon Pradhan on Nov 27, 2014 05:13 AM

Compare the weapons and equipment of the Special Protection Group protecting our netas and babus, and the NSG which is supposed to protect the people. The NSG is 30 years behind.

One of the phrases that keeps coming up in the article over and over again is "pitch dark". Night vision systems have were invented in the 1960s. Let's get some for our armed forces, because even today, all branches of our armed forces are night blind.

These are brave men fighting for us. Let's give us the weapons they need to fight with.

Training and weapons are too poor for indian army
by kumar on Nov 26, 2014 11:38 PM  | Hide replies

Look at the weapons, training and the bulletproof jackets that indian army have. Even the so called Elite forces don;t have proper equipment and they are still using 1940's equipment. Where the money is going to?
Bravery doesn;t matter. It's the training, equipment, and proper thinking are very crucial elements. Unfortunate that we indians need to be ashamed of ourselves

Wars/battles are unpredictable and all soldiers risk their lives. A few casualties does not mean they were poorly trained or equipped. MP-5 is a more modern and reputable firearm than AK-47 but if you are unlucky to be caught in an ambush(especially by a trained adversary) there is a strong possibility that you may pay the ultimate price but the unit as a whole achieved its objective. Indian army officers have a reputation of leading from the front. They take they same risks they order their jawans to take. Be proud of our Army and its tactics. Would you rather have our army play safe to reduce their casualties(at the expense of perhaps more civilians lives that would have been lost).

no soldier will ever die due to the lack of training , the training which indian armed forces give is one of the best in this world , if you dont know dont post comments by your own personal opinion. Clear a SSB and see for yourself how the training is being done.
Bravery matters and no soldier is supplied with substandard weapons.
