NSG Commandos are mostly selected from Army and other Para military forces. They are provided with best of live fire training, all kinds of explosives handling, and various obstacle crossing. Unnikrishnan is also from the army. In comparison State Police are mostly ill equipped to handle such situations. It is Navy/Coast Guards who failed to keep watch on the shore/sea from where the demons arrived.
