To make things short, in Saudi Arabia they dont make tombs and create monuments for visitors. What they do is what is best expected of. Nehru cannot be treated any special. When there is a party that want to milk and do not want to do anything good is the culprit. Treat Nehru separate and weigh for his deeds. The leftists sing tuned songs of congress to continue social imperalist slavery. Mother son or whoever is there to take credit cannot repeak their sins in a Nehru song, which too was bad. Indian history and nehru tales as written by leftist will be a sop opera!
do not have a future? so that we can never repeat the mistakes the so called leaders ( who love to be called by titles punditji , etc) have made and leave such a past behind and march forward to glory.
It is not good to forget the history, or the leaders, but when we look back certain mis calculation of such leaders cannot be forgotten. For instance Nehru was initially against funding of political parties by the Corporate, but when Nehru came to know that the luxury he was enjoying was provided by the Corporate funding, he could not resist the protagonists of corporate funding, and there started the corruption of Indian democracy. Had he thought over and forgot the luxury, India would have been in a much better position now. So a leaders mis calculation can never be forgotten by the coming generation, as they are themselves the judges. .

I do not if it is correct that Nehru was against funding by Corporates. And if it was Nehru who permitted it, he is the true murderer of democracy in India and also the Chief Architect of corruption by Politicians in India. I am sure India has lost more than 50% of the money (the total of all the 5 yr plans) to corrupt Politicians & corrupt Babus also mad hay while corrupt politician Suns shined. POK is also is result of Nehru's creation and Indians should not forget that this is also part of history.
It has two meanings, 1-to know and learn 2. to take corrective measures. Part I to know and to create hue and cry for past is common feature we have learnt, but we never took any correction, we were fighting with each other in the past due to personal egos, still prevails, one can see in any election and even afterwards, Mamta, Nitish, Lalu, now Udhav all oppose even the PM, showing high degree of hate and indiscipline, it means - learnt nothing and does not want any correction.
Good, true that we shall not forget our history. But, for intellectuals in this country, anything before Gandhi - Nehru time was forgettable. This mind-set can be understood from the fact that Gandhi is branded as Father of the Nation, as if this country never existed earlier or everything before Gandhi was so bad that we shall forget all that!!
Let us understand that we have glorious past, since these Gandhis and Nehrus took birth, and let us be alive to that fact so that we can rejuvenate ourselves truly.

Dear - India is an old civilization but a new country. Gandhi Ji is the only person in Indian history who had followers from all regions and religions of India. He literally forged the idea of India as as one country. Without Gandhi ji and his followers vision India would have splintered in 600 smalll states. Hence he is truly the father our nation.
indian history means ramayana,mahabharat, manu, chandra gupta,bikramaditya, shivaji.yes one should not forget.nehru is modern history much talked about.now it is the turn of subhas bose, patel gokhle,tilak.
Those who keep on chewing on history are not capable of creating one and other hand stronger ones learn lesson from history move on and creates History.

Absolutely correct. Indians gloat about its past without doing nothing abut the present problems. Indians love this and want more.
We should learn to take a balanced view of important people in our history. Neither uncritical praise nor total condemnation will lead us to real understanding. Some unfortunate aspects of Nehru's legacy: Kashmir, Pakistan, China, dynasty! But that is not all there is to Nehru. Everyone should recognise that.
