The writer has exposed his biased attitude towards Hindus by referring name of Raja Rammohan Roy. he should clarify where he has found Raja Rammohan's private life mismatched with his professed ideology?
What exactly is the point of bringing in Raja Ram Mohan Roy into this article ? Secondly how the author or anybody knows how Raja Ram Mohan Roy or Syed Ahmed treated women in private ? Who is stereotyping now. I hate this continuous attempt of subtly inserting negative images of every Hindu icon.
What surprises me is that why the VC did not express all these instead of a stereotype comment on girls and boys.
I do not agree that University Libraries are not for affiliated colleges. University Libraries are supposed to be accessible for students and teachers of all affiliated colleges. If Delhi University is not doing that, it is unethical too. they may not allow borrowing books , but should allow referencing the books. In fact, some university libraries are open even for general public.

Libraries are not affiliated but even part of University. Who is paying the Salaries of the Library Staff of AMU or any other Univ Library? In Osmania University, not alone University students but any person, not student can go and study in the library. It is only that eligible persons can take home books but again not all the books. Libraries of meant more for students than others. Who knows, in the name of Students, so many other males/boys may be entering the AMU library. Is there any check on who is entering the LibrarY?

The author is right when he says that no affiliated colleges are allowed to access the library of university. If you're unaware of this fact, then you need to there is a need to upgrade your knowledge on this.
Hello Sir, nicely written piece. But the question remains this - if the undergraduate male students are allowed to access the main library, why can't the undergraduate female students? If this is not discrimination, what is?

Dear Roy! If girls can get whatever reference, literature they want at their door-step, then what's the need to go further?
There is a system, wherein the the undergraduate students can source all the references from their own library.
In 1932 British regime suggested BC/SC/ST/FC/Muslim/Sikh/Christian/Parsi/Buddhist/Jain to live in separate states in 2nd Round Table Conference Resolution.
I have had the privelege to serve under Present VC of AMU,Gen ZU Shah, when he was a corps commander in North East.i am confident that he would always keep in mind the interest of both boys and girls in AMU.HRD minister should not overreact or rather should give a free hand to VC.This VC is capable of raising the institution to greater heights.

"This VC is capable of raising the institution to greater heights," and that is the real problem.
Hate is the main reason for stereotyping Muslims and their institutes. No media, worth its salt, reported the agitation of AMU students against biased reporting on the library issue.
I congratulate u Sir, for giving an insiders view and pointing out that it wasn't gender-bias but bias-reporting.
