Ofcourse most women have to suffer Male ways ofDivorce from simple triplepronouncements.
Many women sometimes if married to oldermales often suffer from sexual deprivations too andvery often resort to weird sexual doings.

I am not surprised to see people writing nonsense thing about Muslims and great establishment of our country...AMU is the only institute as compare to any other religious based identity institute where other religion student are more enrolled compare to Muslims..AMU medical, eng and other professional faculty enrolled more student from other community than it is know for..Commenting against this great institute shows the mentality and biased thinking..

Mr. Rahman,

Mistake no 1 is that the comments are not against AMU but it's someone's gender biased comments !!!

Mistake no. 2 is why you do not look into the backwardness and lack of growth, education, of one community women in India and everywhere in the world ? Due to Lack of openness and imposed restrictions ? ... Most of the comments are on this angle only !!

Mistake no. 3 is why you do not need to think why only one community members are related to all religious extreimism activities (elsewhere) of Taalibaan, Al-qaida, IsIs, Boko Haram !!! There must be some trouble in the living style and thinking (close mindedness) of these people ... which can take its root to underdevelopment of their women, the mothers !!!

Mistake no.1: If some one is really concerned abt gender bias,he should the read the article carefully.the article doesnt leave any room for such argument except for the sake of it
Mistake no.2: Why link a purely administrative issue with community issues. There r appropriate platforms or topics under which stomach ache can be relieved by those who r ready to vent their_bias at any pretext.
Mistake no.3: Shows the hidden agenda of people who r ready to b1ame the whole community for some v10lent groups elsewhere whereas their own community members's vices are declared individual acts.funnily_biased!!!
The fact is there r people on forums who ,give them any topic in the world, will circumvent to c0mmuna1ism

Meraj Uddin,

Mistake no.1: What the AMU guy said, that is more serious ... and that is gender biased !! Tha article writer is just trying to make up ... why that will be important ?

Mistake no.2: Women's education is NOT an administrative issue, it is a social issue and needs awareness of Muslims women and to be allowed by men for education, freeness and liberty !! Spreading anger and hatred is not the solution !!

Mistake no.3: Your basic problem of thinking ... I am not blaming the community but telling that dark minded super religious criminals are created due to some problems in the system ... b'coz others are not like that !!! You people only have to find out the reason, why it happens only for muslims !!!

DONOT SPREAD HATRED AND ANGER, IT SOLVES NOTHING !!

Education and freeness to women can be a solution to many problems, because, they are the MOTHERS ... but, close minded people like you are blocking it, i.e. you are blocking your own good life !!!

Every body is mudding AMU VC's comment. Why don't Smriti don't approve fund for a Library building for Women. If he is saying that Library will be overcrowded, Is he doing crime or saying fact.

In a country where women are left to die after Tubectomy, we are singing other song. Why Raman Singh is not resigning? Why didnt we say that Male should have gone for surgery at Bilaspur?

Noe Smriti Party is in Haryana, Will She stop Khap Panchayat.

AMU is only an example how the senior and responsible people run their power on muslim women and do not let them to mature and grow properly !!

The impact must come on the children !!!

Education and freeness to women can be a solution to many problems, because, they are the MOTHERS ... but, close minded people are blocking it, i.e. you are blocking your own good life !!!

If u go by the details mentioned in the article,it is very clear that it is any issue but gender one bcoz PG women are already on rolls of library. The article very clearly compares with other universities which are very 'open' and 'advanced'.It also gives the facilities open to all like reading rooms and book banks.I urge you to read the article and with good mind-remove mus1im from it

Harmony,

you are WRONG !!!

It is ok and just normal that 'PG women are already on rolls of library' ...

But the basic point remains that "Why the other girls were denied", just because, they are girls !!!

Why the first casualty will be girls and not the boy ??

No sir. It is bcoz, their numbers is 4000 and providing safe passage to Central library is an issue. They already provided with adequate books and reading rooms in their hostel/college.AMU campus is scattered and leanly inhabited.PG books are not available in women college and number is limited,so permitted. The values you are stating are common and known to every one but that has to be balanced against other factors.

In muslim view, woman is never safe, so better to keep them in safe custody !!!

And to do that, "Denial" is not a problem to her, we all believe !!!

And, that is best to her community people !!

So, not to consider ways like scheduling, time-grooups etc (to reduce the quantity) but just say NO to girls and YES to boys ?

I cannot comment on BHU and AMU but BHU is very reknowned ... Do you see discrimination ? But, AMU does the same (for Genders ?) ... Isn't it ?

However, education minister does not have a fake degree (hahaha ... upset with her as she made the comment ?)

A very detailed analysis that misses the moot point. The furore is not over access to the library as such but over the sexist and derogatory remark of the V.C.
The best way to close the chapter is that the V.C., an old man, should say sorry and people should forgive him, keeping in view his age and the senility that usually comes with the old age.

Ashish,it is in fact the media, especially TOI which missed the moot point. And the moot point is that when PG girls are already member of the library ,where is the question of gender bias? Unfortunately the HRD minister herself and other 'ready to jump' elements hastened to react without verifying the fact and the core issue of space constraint.Another aspect of safety of women has to be kept on top agenda until India attains the values of west.

Why undergraduate girls are not allowed ? And why boys are allowed ?

Is it not clear Gender Bias ?
And, in that case, why everybody will not aim the gun to the backward minded gentleman ?

If space constraint is an issue, some workable solutions can be done (for a specified time), unless a bigger library is made !!
