That is because, unlike some other States of India, their own State (Kerala) does not offer them enough job opportunities, and they are forced to seek employment in the Gulf.

haha you sound like some agent of Raj Thackrey. We have many biharis here in Ahmedabad. We welcome people from any part of the country in our state and city

Just wait for a few years when Bihari people from other parts of India migrate to your city and ruin it like they ruined Kolkatta, Mumbai and are now ruining beautiful cities like Bangalore!

Constitution gives right to every Indian citizen to move freely within the country and everyone is welcome here in Ahmedabad
When the subject matter is that of literacy, why are people expressing their biased views on other matters, specially those allegedly pertaining to people of a particular area. Why not understand and appreciate the universal fact that not even two people are alike in attitudes and other personal traits. Any isolated bad experiences of someone cannot be taken as a criterion to judge and label people of another region or State as bad. Rather one must appreciate the achievement in question and do better for themselves ! Kerala in general and their womenfolk in particular have done quite well all these years in the area of education literacy, healthcare, etc. Congratulations to all concerned and wish they better their own achievements in the future.

what is the use of this literacy? These mallus even cant pronounce an english word properly. All their pronunciations are wrong
Re: Re: Literacy

Every region pronounce english with heavy native language undertones.
So when a French or Italian guy can't speak proper English it's "cute" and forgivable because English is not their native language, but when a mallu speaks english with his/her accent...it's not "proper".
Ask any doctors, they prefer nurses from Kerala to look after the patients as they are educated, better trained and looks after the patients with compassion. Even most of the top hospitals vouch for their sincerity. Education and freedom gave Kerala girls independent thinking and right to choose their lives. I also agree to the point, without Tamil Nadu, it would have been difficult to live in Kerala because most of the Vegetables comes from TN. Inspite of development, most of the mallus are under the spell of casteism like NSS, SNDP, MUSLIM LEAGUE,KERALA CONGRESS so on. The mind is still not free, inspite of education.

When Swamy Viky Travelled Across India and world and called Kerala Phrantalayam..Then There was reason Castisum in Big way That why Christaity and Musmilms easily grown in Kerala...If you completely remove a HaBit still there will be a Bit..I still hate Nairs more than a Muslim or a Christain

But majority of the Nairs have happily given up their surnames. Has it really happened with other upper castes in other parts of India (perhaps other than TN). And its because the Kerala Hindus were not obsessed with their religion, the society came up to be a relatively rational one. But I guess that equilibrium is being disturbed now.
