For your kind information, Rediff is owned by a Malayali and a good number of its staffers are of the same persuasion.

It is considered rude and uncivilized to insult your hosts!

If don't mind being rude and uncivilized, please continue!

We will just think of you as a Bihari ranting under a South Indian name!

Why only Mallus, look at Kejiwal's supporters!

Most of them are educated and employed but completely ignorant of life's realities!

These 1d10t5 think that a government appointed ombudsman is going to get rid of corruption in India and also bring inflation under control!

That is because, unlike some other States of India, their own State (Kerala) does not offer them enough job opportunities, and they are forced to seek employment in the Gulf.

What rank does Bihar have on this list?!

It wouldn't be surprising in the least if it was at the very bottom like it is at the bottom of all progress related rankings!

No wonder women from Bihar have to live the life of Sunny Leone all their lives!

Just wait for a few years when Bihari people from other parts of India migrate to your city and ruin it like they ruined Kolkatta, Mumbai and are now ruining beautiful cities like Bangalore!

We'll see how much you love have for them then!

Jatin,

Yes, but where does it say in the constitution that you can treat the cities you migrate to as open air toilets?

I always thought you Gujarati people valued cleanliness and took pride in keeping your homes clean and neat!

Looks like you wouldn't mind a Bihari using your living room as a toilet since you welcome them to Ahmadabad so eagerly!

Literacy
by CG Panicker on Mar 28, 2014 02:42 PM  | Hide replies

When the subject matter is that of literacy, why are people expressing their biased views on other matters, specially those allegedly pertaining to people of a particular area. Why not understand and appreciate the universal fact that not even two people are alike in attitudes and other personal traits. Any isolated bad experiences of someone cannot be taken as a criterion to judge and label people of another region or State as bad. Rather one must appreciate the achievement in question and do better for themselves ! Kerala in general and their womenfolk in particular have done quite well all these years in the area of education literacy, healthcare, etc. Congratulations to all concerned and wish they better their own achievements in the future.

Re: Re: Literacy

Every region pronounce english with heavy native language undertones.

So when a French or Italian guy can't speak proper English it's "cute" and forgivable because English is not their native language, but when a mallu speaks english with his/her accent...it's not "proper".

So ashamed of people like you.

Nurses from Kerala
by suresh menon on Mar 28, 2014 01:48 PM  | Hide replies

Ask any doctors, they prefer nurses from Kerala to look after the patients as they are educated, better trained and looks after the patients with compassion. Even most of the top hospitals vouch for their sincerity. Education and freedom gave Kerala girls independent thinking and right to choose their lives. I also agree to the point, without Tamil Nadu, it would have been difficult to live in Kerala because most of the Vegetables comes from TN. Inspite of development, most of the mallus are under the spell of casteism like NSS, SNDP, MUSLIM LEAGUE,KERALA CONGRESS so on. The mind is still not free, inspite of education.

But majority of the Nairs have happily given up their surnames. Has it really happened with other upper castes in other parts of India (perhaps other than TN).
And its because the Kerala Hindus were not obsessed with their religion, the society came up to be a relatively rational one. But I guess that equilibrium is being disturbed now.
