Why, u dont know Kerala is in India? If you are not proud to declare your statehood, isnt it your problem? And why shd everyone know Hindi? Have you learnt any other Indian language ever? How many of those from the Hindi belt working in other states have learnt the local language? Most never learn! But, any other Indian settled anywhere else in India learns the local language within a year. First dispel the arrogance that "everyone shd know the only language I know"! If you do THAT you can call yourself a true Indian, for India is all abt heterogeneity.

do not compare kerala with Bihar & UP which are bigger states compared to tiny kerala..even then Kerala faces bigger problems like bandh & hartal for trivial reasons, growing islamicfuntamentalism etc

Kerala survives because of other states which are industrialized and generate jobs to them. Kerala was highly educated before independence itself. This helped them to earn job outside Kerala. Even Kerala does not have much facility for higher education so they depend of cities like Coimbatore, Mangalore in other states for education. Kerala economic and educational progress is because people are ready to go out of Kerala for education and jobs. Without outside support Kerala will be a big zero. There is another state which also depend upon outside states for work that is West Bengal.

The Coimbatore and Manglore...They are Neighbouring cities in kerala..Most of the collges take Students with just 40% marks in the qulifying exams...which Most of the Universities dont accept.

Fair ... its a good criticism. Constructive criticism is always welcome. I would say the following- Kerala has achieved a lot on Human Development, Healthcare and Education. It lacks in industries- Thankfully the new generation has the benefit of having IT in Kochi and TVM. Large Scale manufacturing should not come to Kerala at all. Kerala has well capitalized on Tourism. We need places in India without the polluting industries. Going to industrialized states and Gulf is good since the nation gets hard foreign currency. India is the highest recipient of remittances. I agree with your education point.
With every step towards progress there are many places where we get backward too. Takes time to change. There was never a perfect society. But overall the State is respected and its people are well disciplined citizens.
