Why to vacate now?
by syed ali on Jun 22, 2014 06:11 PM  | Hide replies

What was BMC doing hen the flats were constructed? Where was court and all governemtn machinery? It is a pathetic state of affairs that the banks gave loans and insured the flats. Builder took the money and constructed 102 flats, naturally a lot of maoney went to politicians, local police and BMC to safely look the other way or sleep. Now why after 24 years they are awakening and saying the construction is illegal. Shame on Indian justice system and Government.

Why did the residents purchase the flats when they were aware that the building was ill legal.

it is criminal to pull down a livable building as this is loss of capital cost and waste of NATIONAL scarce material like CEMENT & SAND. Sand is already not available. All concerned must sit and find a solution where demolition is ruled out. jayakumar jivraj shah 9819242649

Is Supreme Court a bunch of fools?
by Jai Singh on Jun 22, 2014 06:02 PM  | Hide replies

Can't they see what is right or wrong for Campa people? Why Modi Ji does not look in to this issue or BJP govt is also too busy in looting India through price rise and other means?

What Shanti Bhushan says seems doable. The rest is just political ho-ha of some silly Mann.

Better get Arvind to fly in and ferry out, on his broomstick, all stranded Indians.

I agree AAP is the only party for Indians to go. All are already sold and resold to crony capitalism. First govt allowed all these flats to be constructed, mind you they were not constructed in night. Then allowed banks to give loan and allowed registration. Made them stay for 24 years. One good fine morning, they decided to evict them so that piece of land can sold builders again. If this happened in any other country, govt would have apologized for not making it legal for so long, but this is India.

Campa Cola Housing Society - issue
by Ramanarao Kallepally on Jun 22, 2014 05:31 PM  | Hide replies

It is very much pity to know that Campa Cola Housing Society where 102 apartments have been made with or without the permission of Mumbai Municipality which is very well known to the CM of that State only. If permission (print this message) not granted, how the builder has come forward to construct that huge construction that to whose money is there, that is the Public property of Apartment Owners who might have given lakhs of rupees for purchasing Campa Cola flats, why the High Court of Mumbai is not taking any interest for amicable settlement with the Campa Cola authorities along with the owners of the flats staying in 102 apartments. Where these people will go - why state government is not showing any alternate method to those families. This is a very pathetic issue. In what way the Central government will intervene, when the UPA 1 & 2 knows it very well about the campa cola construction, why they have not taken any legal step or suggest amicable settlement for the dwellers of 102 apartment owners.

Campa Cola

There are means and ways. For almost 24 years the Govt.machinery did not notice the illegality of the complex and now to force the residents out of complex is not a natural justice. If Govt. and Civic authorities take a stand and find out some formula these residents may sigh a relief. No need to demolish the flats. We respect The Hon.Supreme Court judgement but then and then the rights of the people of 24 years also have to be taken into consideration. I am just an observer no way connected with Campa Cola.
