Priorities misplaced

It seems that the govt of Maharashtra is busy analysing the LS polls debacle & redefining alliances for the upcoming state polls & shunning the humanitarian crisis its inefficiency has created for a group of people. Is it to penalize the citizen for not voting for them that they are disinclined to find an acceptable solution for these people under the garb of the Supreme court judgement ? If the illegal constructions had to be demolished , at least an attempt to rehabilitate these people with some assurance of financial assistance could have inspired some confidence in the leadership. This seems as rudderless as the centre was before the LS election.

GHMC is right in requesting Police force to vacate the owners from Campa Cola Society. But GHMC Officials must also force the Town Planning Officials to attend refresher course in "permitting illegal structures". In Campa Cola, it was few illegal floors, on permitted floors. But now Town Planning Officials must "supervise illegal construction of any NO of floors, without any permission at all". If they refuse to undergo refresher course, they must be sent forcibly under Police protection.

Building proposal department of BMC is the most corrupt department and nothing illegal construction can happen without their blessings and cooperation. They are always in hand in gloves with the builders and architects. For all irregularities, poor residents always suffer and builders and BMC officials are never penalised for their lapse. Government can allow Hotel Leela at Sahara to regularise illegal four floors and allow them to mint money commercially. the hundreds of illegal constructions in PimpriChinchwad Chinchwad in Pune and Ulhasnagar can be regularised, but there can be Zerotolerance against the Campa Cola residents who brought their flats with hard earned money and staying for years.

Indians are brainwashed to believe that "voting in elections = democracy".
In democracy it's your vote that counts; In "feudalism" it's your count that votes.

5) BSES [now reliance Infra] supplied power and got some profit.
6) The Maha Govt got Stamp Duty for the flats.
7) The payer of all the Taxes i.e the flat owners got the thenga.
