GOVT SHALL ENCOURGE USE OF LED BULB AND REDUCE TAX ON LED BULB OR CFL. A 60-80 SUBSIDY SHALL BE GIVEN ON INSTALATIONS OF 250 WTH SOLAR UNIT TO ALL HOUSE HOLD ON RESIDENTAIL ROOF TOP AND METER SHALL BE INSTALLED WITH DUAL SYSTEMS SELLING AND BUYING. THIS SHALL MAKE HABBIT OF INDIVIDUAL TO USE LESS ELECTRCITY AND HOUSE OWNER SHALL BE SELLING POWER TO GRID WHICH SHALL BE A GOOD BUSINESS ATTRACTION. AND SUBSEQUENTLY GOVT SHALL GO FOR IN BIG WAY SOLAR POWER GENERATION AND ON COSTAL AREA WIND POWER . ONLY IN FIRST YEAR HEAVY INVESTMENTS BY GOVT SHALL MAKE LIFE EASY OF DOMESTIC CONSUMER. POWER GENERATED BY BIG THERMAL/GAS/ATOMIC AND HYDROPOWER PLANT SHALL BE GIVEN MAXIMUM TO INDUSTRIAL UNITS. M.L.ARORA DLF PHASE IV GURGAON

What is the effect of voltage fluctuations on LED bulbs? I think LCD lamps are badly affected.
Very sad that we still are hooked on SOLAR. We should use BLOOM BOX , pls view video and read wiki given below. This will save us , a small box can glow our homes 24x7.
India is blessed with abundant of solar energy.Encourage people to go for solar energy instead of inverters. Compensate the users who feeds the grid.Transmitting dc power will further degrade the ecosystem. We might end-up losing valuable fauna and flora as addition of dc transmission to various radioactive signals will take heavy toll on the environment.Hence please abolish this idea of transmitting dc power which is bound to effect the environment in the long run and also it is not cost effective too to have two separate power lines. Solar, wind, gobar gas and hydel power are the future.
like gas cylinders, rice, wheat etc, A/C & Fridge must be sold only in Ration shops and allotment should be made based on no. of people in a family and not by size of home or individual wealth. each member should be alloted so many units of electricity and exceeding which it will be charged 4 times per unit.
This will be too time consuming because of additional wires that need to be installed and it would not be cost friendly too; it would be much better to increase the subsidy on Solar power so that more and more people use it as a first choice.
Not practical. It is as good as using battery back-up and inverter which is much simpler than this impractical way of transmitting small amount of power. It is as good as asking people to use only small loads and switch off all major loads like a/c etc. for a given time period on a day. That will need complicated separation of ccts. What can be done is to supplement solar power in clusters of housing colonies through a separate cct. which again is not much different from inverters but only thing is we are using solar energy which otherwise is being wasted.

Brush less DC fan can deliver better efficirncy. LED light can deliver long life and same light as CFL for more or less same cost. Main advantage of DC usage is in day time no conversion / storage required. The idea is not new. it appears our neighbour is making products keeping our requirement in mind
DC current for residential use may be a good idea, But it is more dangerous than AC current, since it causes immediate burns, scalds and pulls the living being whereas AC gives a pushing effect saving the life from further injuries. I was told that in Delhi in chandani chowk area there used to be DC current prevailing but because of safety issues later on DC was abolished. Our scientists should find other ways of creating power generation rather than revisiting the problen in old ways. We have nuclear power and solar power to go only option left.

the DC voltage they are talking about is far less than what you are talking about chandni chowk years back.
