reservarion is nothing new in india........for thousands of years, less than 10% of the population kept"reserved" all the creamy jobs in the name of the wretched caste system...the beneficiaries of this evil system are complaining about reservation!!!!

Curious!
by Kumar on Jul 15, 2014 12:16 PM

It is curious to see the percentages of parents not interested, child not interested, education not necessary and no tradition in community.

These are not economic factors and indicate a deeper cultural reason.

Plus, a percentage of students is unable to cope. The system should be adapted to help them.

our education system is burden
by sunil on Jul 15, 2014 11:27 AM

we take away our children's childhood by putting them under rigorous mental training. It is not possible for many to deal with it. Maybe we should consider our education system to allow only 4 hours of school or college and cut down the syllabus to half. we are feeding a lot of junk to our young minds.

education

surveys are fine. Incities the major chunk of students end up with nothing since they don't know what to do after the education.
Take the case of infrastructure, to build a bridge or a house or an apartment the labour need will be in thousands and lakhs. these illiterate or partly literate people have nothing to earn but from their work.
Jobs for those who are educated are less semi skilled and unskilled workers have jobs for a minimum pay.
Auto drivers do not need certification to drive and that is easy money.
Ultimately the truth I if education can fill your tummy it is worth or work hard.
CEO is paid 34crores while the man who built it is paid 34000.

Our system needs to be relooked at
by vineet mishra on Jul 15, 2014 10:04 AM

There is growing %age of illiterate children in cities as the infrastructure/housing projects bring more labour to cities. Normally both husband-wife work and the kids don't attend schools. Contractors must be made accountable for educating kids of their labour else there should be heavy penalties.
