By awarding Bharat Ratna to person who was not even alive when the award was setup is ridiculous. It is a mockery. Well said that Rao erred in 1991 and Modi has compounded the mistake in 2014.

Mahatma is much above all these. Infact India shall institute a international award in the name of Mahatma.

He has stolen so much of public still accused of none..this is one of the greatest achievement any human being in this world can attain..nobody can beat this record..
Since Mahatma Gandhi is held in highest esteem one can hold as "Bapu" or father of the nation,does he need a Bharat Ratna. Will it not demeaning him from the highest to the mediocre>
