This is a rumour created by some parties (Congress?) with an eye on coming by-elections, assembly elections. A later news item clearly says, Congress party is demanding BT for Kanshi Ram! Outrageous! It is people like Kanshi Ram who have nurtured and propagated caste hatred in the Hindi Belt.

Compared to his contribution for the society as a whole much has been done by BABA AMTE, ANNA HAZARE & BABA RAM DEV.WHY CAN,T THEY BE ALSO CONSIDERED FOR SOME NATIONAL honour ?
Kanshi ram,s contribution for Harijans was very little & what ever he did it was for his political objectives. Compared to him much more has been done for the society as a whole by BABA AMTE & Anna hazare without any political motive .
Netaji we dont want this honour to you because you are more than that let this B.R be only for politicians ,sportsman et al.
