For heaven's sake pl donot disrespect Netaji by giving him Bharat Ratna. There are some people like Gandhi , Netaji , Tagore etc who are beyond Bharat Ratna
The only person who deserves a Bharat Ratna is Mr. Narasimha Rao. The only PM who actually did something for India instead of himself or his family. What did Mr. Vajpayee actually accomplish ?

Blind eye never see good or bad.He listen from their nearer and get about.Vajpaiji is real VIKAS PURUSH.The pace of development started in his regime but in last 10 yrs the development stopped due to policy paralysis.

Problem for Narshimha Rao is he is not liked by ruling family. Bharat Ratna cannot be given to anyone who is not liked by first family. Although your like for PV Narshimha rao is useless as Madam will not get happy with that.

Can't agree more. Beside being criminals they are highly castiest which has resulted MSY and Lalu like Dacoits are ruining country and politics. Anyway they shouldn't be consider under OBC anymore.

Please do not give Bharat Ratan to Atalji who is a nice and good person but honestly he stands in the que of traitor who helped te british government and became an approver resulting into conviction of two freedom fighter.
His letter ofapology submitted in court is available if you search google.

By that logic Father of the nation and first PM were first British supporters. They opposed Netaji and helped British to recruit millions of Indians to fight world wars.
Bharat Ratna is the highest civilian honour India can confer on its citizens, past or present.
I fail to understand what grouse the Bose family has with the govt thinking of conferring this honour on Subhash Chandra Bose. The reason that Bose is being rewarded AFTER 43 others have been awarded this honour is the least of the unwise reasons given. Someone has to be conferred with this award first and others will follow. Not everyone can be the first to receive any award.
In the case of Bose, first he was betrayed by the Congress in pre-independent India and, of course, later the Congress refused to accept Bose’s sacrifices and role in fighting for the independence of the country. Naturally Congress was never going to consider Bose for Bharat Ratna. Now that the present govt wants to correct the errors of the Congress govts of the past 6 decades and think of conferring this great honour, his family comes out with its ‘objections’.
Can I remind this Bose family that NO INDIVIDUAL is greater that his/her country. By this context neither is Bose – as much as we respect him and his leadership. If the country wants to bestow this honour on him, his family has no right to object or reject. The only person who can reject the honour is that person himself.
If the govt does decide to confer this honour on Subhash Chandra Bose, I hope wiser counsel will prevail and the family of Bose will accept it with humility.
PVN was much bolder and made revolutionary steps than Vajpayee. He is neglected because Cong sidelined him due to non-Nehru connection and BJP looks him as Cong man. He is not a North Indian as well.
Present youth owes Him a lot for opening economy, solved Punjab terror problem, and started ground work for Nuclear tests apart from bold steps for Babri Masjid issue.

WE DO REGRET THE NAME OF KANSHI RAM FIGURES IN THE LIST OF PROPOSED NAME.
KANSHI RAM IS A LOCAL LEADER OF U.P., HIS INFLUENCE OR SO CALLED SERVICE TO NATION IS LIMITED TO A SECTION OF PEOPLE IN U.P. There was pan-India presence of his party or IDEOLOGY. His name should be deleted. I think Mr.N.Modi need not yield to any pressures in this selection.
It is the duty of the nation to confer Bharat Ratna to Netaji which is the highest award available as of now. Once Netaji became a national icon, his family does not come in the picture at all. May be in due course, the Centre can think of some more fitting thing for the great leader.
Karunanidhi, having failed in all fronts like Sethu Samudhram etc. suddenly crying for a Bharat Ratna for Periyar. Why he did't do it when he was an ally of UPA. At that. Time he was busy in getting plum portfolio for his family members. Did he once raise this issue. He is not even having a single MP now. TN people have completely rejected him. The NDA govt. Is there to implement their programmes not Karunanaidhi's agenda. Because of Periyar only, his native Erode is not much developed like adjacent cities likeCoimbatore and Salem. With famous Chennimalai and Bannari Amman temple, Erode. Would have become a famous tourist city. Because of atheist principle of Periyar, Erode is behind two generations.
