By that logic, does that mean if a m-uslim is harmed, Saudi Arabia should step in OR if a bud-dhist is harmed, Nepal/China/Japan should step in? Get out of this mindset which is created by politicians that every chri-stian is in the business of conversion or every mus-lim is a terr-orist.

What an insensitive mindset you have Suneera. Quite hidebound, archaic and anarchic! :-) Conversions happen, even willing conversions... so deal with that reality. A thinking person can and must choose what religion s/he would like to follow... or even not follow any! Be mature.

Suneera - I agree with you 100%. Fanatics should not be supported by government funds.
They should approach Vatican and Rome. Pope should interfere and negotiate the release as Alex was serving for Rome. Indian govt nothing to do with it. AfPak is not like india where people convert easily

Deva - why go to Afghanistan ? there are humanity in India that needs serving. He went to Afghan cos he was trying to fish (convert) in troubled waters.

I am sure you are educated in a Christian School and still a Hindu. If all people how have got touch with Christian institutions were converted, India might have become a Christian country.

Why rediff is not speaking about 40 peoples trapped in iraq. Oh. They are not minority. hahhaa rediff must stop these biased things. They tried it before election and now they are doing it again.

Very true. Afghans are not Indians to CONVERT. Under misssionary disguise, people like these travel to other countries. And government should spoend tax payer money and waste their time to save you when you get in trouble.Guys like these DESERVE this. RIH,RIP.
If individuals go on their own for different personal works abroad, when they get in to problems there, their relatives appear in TV channels and find fault with Government, some of our channels even give judgement whom to be punished in the government. They must give time to Government to contact the other government through diplomatic channels and and help the victims.
