Incredibly insensitive
by Amused Commentator on Aug 07, 2014 11:31 AM  | Hide replies

A tragedy has occurred, a priest kidnapped and yet the only messages posted here are downright xenophobic, anti-human and confined within narrow religious demarcations. If this is the so-called voice of the people then how can our country ever prosper?

Ominous. Please remember unity lies in diversity and the complete acceptance of it. That's been the eternal strength of our nation for millennia, the reason why conquerors came to conquer but stayed to live and rule, barring a few exceptions.

Dont try to hide fanaticism under garbs of humanity. The truth will out. He went there on a primitive religious fervour and paid the price. that must be acknowledged. Indeed if he were a hindu fanatic, you would yelled yourself hoarse about hindu extremism.

It's high time the wicked X'tian missionaries realize that they cannot open their 'conversion shops' in countries like Afg, Pak and B'desh. They are successful in our country because of passive attitude and negligence of Hi.n.dus and patronage of secular goons.

Folks, if you think he went to such an extreme religious fanatic country to convert, then I think you are so ignorant. See how America brought back their citizens from Sierra Leone. Did you think they went there to convert or help Ebola patients? Don't bring religion and hatred in between and then we can live in a safer world.

Samson - did you also see when the ISIS went on a killing spree, the US and the West kept quite and just tut tutted. But when they started attacking christian minorities, these very 'helpless' US and the West started bombing the ISIS guys. So dont give examples from the actions of US or the West, they are as fanatical as the ISIS or Taleban but does not have the latter's honesty in admitting it.

Lesson to learn
by jayaraman TS on Aug 07, 2014 11:08 AM  | Hide replies

Christians in India should realize that they can do anything in India as most of the Indian people are tolerant. This is because Hindu religion has always advocated for peace, tolerance and spiritualism. This is not the case when they step out of India.

That depends. In Afghanistan it is impossible. He surely didn't try. But in Europe or the US there is religious tolerance.
