Well said Justice Dave

Ignorant secular fundamentalists will surely have allergic reactions. For secular fundamentalists GITA is "Kala Akshar Bhains Barabar"....

Wish the fundamentals of secular governance, which has been violated by this SC Judge, are safeguarded for defending the idea of India. What SC Judge has indulged can not be treated as mere drawing room talk. It should be seen as signaling the value paradigm, state is expected to uphold, irrespective of the cost.

Indeed kala akhshar must be valued and the sanctity of it respected.

Think the only way secular Constitution can be defended is by asking Justice Dave to quit.

INTRODUCTION OF GITA AND MAHABHARAT FROM STD.-1 ON-WARDS
by saroj das on Aug 03, 2014 12:28 AM  | Hide replies

Hon'ble Supreme court Judge is very right . The concept is worth implementation , but then no Govt has time to think for this if court does not direct to do so . I expect the courts of India while adjudicating PIL matters at least direct the central and state Govt to consider the aspect of introducing Bhagbat Gita and mahabharat from std-1 on wards . This will not only save the nation from the fall of high moral values which were possessing by the ancient Indians but also put an break to litigations / conflicts / violences and so on and so forth . SAROJ DAS ,ADVOCATE , ORISSA HIGH COURT .

justice Dave

His comment confirms that not all people who are occupying high positions deserve that position. He is not the judge of peshawar or Multan high court. He must maintain the diginity of indian high courts.

If he has made these remarks to please someone then he should change his strategy and adopt a wiser move.

Aftab,

Endorse your views. Not only Justice Dave is intellectually incompetent about secular Constitution, to which he does not subscribe to, the oath he took was a deceitful one. Worse he expresses desire to take law into his own hand, subverting Indian Constitution to impose his political-religious views.

There are inferences to be drawn here, and legal view if taken to logical conclusion could be an exemplar reiteration of sanctity of the secular spirit enshrined in the great Indian Constitution. Your sentiments, sincerely felt, ought to find expression in legal community to gain trust and serve as a discernment lesson for all Indians, of today and tomorrow.

#Ramesh,

Read the book or not ? I am sure you didnot the way you comment), therefore you donot know its contents !!! And only foolish people speak without knowledge !!!

By the way, Gita was already brought to Education system in Europe (School of Management) !!!

Do you think they are pro-hinduism and non-secular, thats why they study some parts of GITA ?

DD,

Have been reading the book since early seventies. I hope you can fathom what I wrote, for it makes his position as the Judge untenable. Whether his exit takes place or not is for the legal community and Constitutional authorities to decide. If it does not happen, the trust in this government shall be at stake.

DD,

Suggest you read chapter 7 verse 21 of Gita.

Whatever form any devotee of faith wishes to worship, I make the faith steady.

But that is not the real point, secular Constitution is not against any religion. It prescribes that government shall respect religious freedom and not inflict any religion on citizens.

Dear aftab,

Thats the shortcoming of the vision that Gita is a specific religious book.

You may have learnt Quran so you cannot imagine anything more !!

For your kind enlightenment, Gita is NOT a specific religious book and its parts are taught in educational institutions in the West, who has NOTHING to do with Hinduism !!!

They study it b'coz they found material in it for better Management of Company, Finance and to obtain its discipline !!

Thats why, it confirms that all who write comments, are not worth doing it !!!

If possible, first read it and then go to peshawar or Multan !!!
