mr justice has not said anything wrong. In we talk peace nobody cares our statement. Many people are there who do not listen the language of peace they need force. Gita teaches the lesson that if others play tricks and keep enemity with you, you have to respond in the same way. Kaurav & Pandav are symbol of .two parties

"mr justice has not said anything wrong." That precisely is the problem we faces. None in the power and posts of responsibility though saying nothing wrong, they don't DO anything right either.

Why Schools why not home or Sunday Schools
by dipankar dasgupta on Aug 03, 2014 03:23 PM

I have been reading Geeta on a daily basis for last 16 years. I know the teachings are invaluable but I dont understand why Geeta has to be made compulsory at schools and not at homes? At home it is the duty of Father, mother or grandparents to impart this training. I remember my grandfather used to make me sit on his lap while reciting Geeta. In case the parents are unable to impart it then Sunday classes on Lines of Sunday Bible school or even summer vacation geeta weeks may be organized. I caught up with geeta and got addicted to it because of one such morning camp organized by divine life society - Chinmayananda ji.

That's the reason THAT Mr Dave is not in a position to which he aspires.Right Mr. Dave should also think of returning of past, where castesim, untouchability, vices for foreighners, sati, pathetc widowhood, child marriage etc was pervading.

We all salute to Justice Dave, who has boldly told about Geeta, can anyone claim any sentence or line from it that it pertains to any religion including Hindus. Geeta is a pure spiritualist book, and ultimate theme of every religion is Geeta only.

Well, Gita is OK but teaching Mahabharat to tender minds means imparting them the knowledge of all vices-abdication of responsibility, evil plots, double talk , poor language, extreme of jealousy and above all imaginary things like Brahmastra and what not. In fact, if possible, we should ban Mahabharat for everyone below a certian age.
But since this is not possible, nor is the compulsory teaching of Gita, why do not Hindus start Gita paths instead of satynarayan kathaas and Ramayan Paths. True, this will do lot of good to the society with the message of not only 'karm' all the time but 'nishkam karm' and a bit of reduction of attachments ('moh') to which we are held in excessive degrees.
Even an 70-80 year old keeps worrying about his sons and daughters as if they are NOT ADULTS.

Mahabharata is not only about war and politics. The episode of war is just a small part of it.

I agree with Suresh, it is surprising that a SC judge should make such a comment, by doing so he has belittled other faiths, can he tell what is so great about mahabarat, this is nothing but stories of politics, family fueds, intrigues using cunningness without any consideration. Yes had he told about people reading VEDA that would have been understandable. His comments are all Howgwash, he is trying to please his masters, a judge of the SC should refrain from making such comments.

Human values,

necessary for peaceful co-existence while pursuing the realisation of aspirations, are universal.

There is nothing in them that are uniquely or intrinsically hyndu, ixlamic or chriztin by nature.

Claims based on the superior appeal or utility of the teachings of any one religion over those of others arise either from misplaced religious chauvinism or from an intent to realise vested interests.
