While it is true that Srinivasan should resign because of impropriety (and not fixing since charges are not proved yet), the fact is that media has gone into a frenzy over this. They have dedicated too much time to this.
Why did they not spend so much time on Rober Vadra? Why did they not ask (and followed up) for resignations of Sonia Gandhi, Bhupender Singh Hooda and later Ashok Gehlot. Media just gave a little bit of coverage to this issue, since it became public and they had to report it.
In fact, in case of Rajasthan where the size of land scam is much higher than in Haryana (>500 Cr compared to 50 Cr in Haryana) media did not even report it properly. That issue was on the internet for over a month before some media channels (and not all) started reporting it.
The fact is that a businessman is always going to be better than a politician as a president - a business man knows how to make money whereas a politician only knows how to suck money.
And even our PM Manmohan Singh has said that "I hope Politics & Sports will not get mixed up." which raises his concern that politicians are messing up with sports. Though ipl scandal has some dirt to clear, but still one can feel some large political conspiracy behind this.
This is matter of ego issue for all the news channels since no one is able to take credit for srinivsan ouster.. If srini resigns all channels will jump and take credit that it was the first to report on the fixing scandal and they will take credit for srini resignation and that is not happening now and that is reason they are going wild...There is no doubt srini must resign immediately but is there no issue in india to focus than this....Media was going crazy after nirbhaya rape and everything has been happily forgotten now and my question is after that has there been no rape committed in india and why not media not focussing on pressurizing political parties to bring in strong law against rape

AS much this article is good, your message too. I agree that after the Nirbhaya case, none including CM and chief of Police form Delhi resigned. When many people were burnt in Assam, no one resigned. When there was a blatant violence in Mumbai, no one's head rolled. Would Sharad pawar would have resigned? He only said that if he would have been in power, this would not have happened, which means this would not have surfaced and would have been suppressed right in the beginning.
Which clearly means, when politicians at the top of affairs, rules are different.
slowly the politicians are in control of Indian cricket through BCCI. it is time to stop watching cricket stop buying tickets, STOP wasting your money on this scam ridden sport which is a CASH COW for politicians
is the mother of Corruption in games and sports , all influential politicians are involved one way or other with Cricket and holding the post of indirect profit . As all the Parliament members are unnonimously support the increas in allowances, perks, salaries , pension etc. of Paliament members, similar is the case with cricket. Here again all politicians attached with Cricket are one in grasping the benifits and porfits through this game. They pose themselves honest but in fact they cry only when their own involvement is doubted. All those who are named in the article are leading a very cosy comfortable life at the cost of public money and they are least bothered about the public. It is huhaha of rich class , and waste of public money and time. Cricket is founded by the lords of England who have plenty of time and plenty of money but How to pass the time was the question, so they found Cricket to pass the time , here also it is the game of rich class who are holding plenty of Black Money, and they find a way through IPL to showoff their money power by buing players desi and imported too. Cricket is shear nonsense and no game rather a curse in the name of game. Must be banned if possible for some years . in fact it the way of befooling others by making money for a country like poor India.
