Now Information & Broadcasting Ministry should stop airing or screening of all ads and movies featuring Sanjay Dutt, at least till the time he is in jail to discourage his aides from promoting him and trying to win sympathy. Otherwise it would be a big joke on India to see this criminal on TV channels. Seeing this non-actor was a pain in any case.

On one hand I feel sorry, We all mkake mistakes in our youth . He deserved to get a sentence inhis youth, now that he is matured this seems harsh. But all in all it was a crime and he has to pay for it.

Flimsy excuses
by rajat lahiry on May 11, 2013 08:33 AM  | Hide replies

Sanjay Dutt’s remaining legal options are:
•      File a Curative petition before Supreme Court seeking a review of the verdict.
•      Dutt or any of his relatives/acquaintances can file application for pardon by President of India or Governor of India.
•      Dutt can also approach Maharashtra govt. for commutation of his sentence.
•      State govt. can, on its own, commute the sentence.
An influential or rich person can continue to indulge in to these activities knowing that other influential or rich persons will be sympathetic to him. But can a poor common man afford them? Very clearly, law is in favour of influential or rich persons in this country.

A huge cache of arms and ammunition landed at Dutt's house, even then he did not inform the police, he was 33 year sold then - not a kid.He should have realized that the consignment could be used for mass destruction only.
He purchased an AK 56 which is a assault riflr and that too unlicensed - nobody keeps AK56 for self protection.
Then he destructed the evidence that means he knew that he had committed crime.
He is indeed responsible for the 257 innocent deaths.
He does not deserve any sympathy, only because he is an actor. Merely being the son of so and so does not erase your misdeeds. Your have sowed so reap it now.

No idea why this is a big fuss. Sanjay Dutt is history now. The justice is incomplete till the Dawood is caught.

Is Indian judicial system capable of achieving it? I seriously doubt.

I don't need to hear innumerable reasons as to why it is not possible. Time to focus on results instead of the process.Simple

His punishment came too late, thanks to Indian judiciary. He has played with and manipulated the law for way too long. He should have been sent to jail years back. Five years too less. Sanjay has not been a law abiding citizen. There were reports of him intimidating his fellow actors thru his underworld friends. Most of his so-called sufferings were his own creations. He must now own up, behave reponsibly and go to jail. Unlicensed Assault rifle supplied by underworld for self protection? ha ha, big joke. Was he a moron???
