No point over the recent events - In general, stay away from Italy. They are classless and thats the truth. The only thing that they can do is dress in some Armani and say that is style. It is the amongst the dirtiest, lowliest culture. Ask Germans/ Brits thoughts on them. America deals with them out of necessity rather than want. There are a significant (15%) of Americans who are of Italian origin .. so .. but the lesson to learn is that, keep them at arms length. French are fine for such things since they could potentially transfer technology and allow India to grow. Seriously, it is a dumb VIP helicopter. How hard it is to build for India itself? India needs to grow roots of manufacturing - environment be damned. Back to Italy, if India keeps stooping to their level and class, you can expect more Sonias and such bad stories... One needs to only look at Vatican to see the extent to which there level can go down.
Specs were changed under NDA government & as usual Mr. Shenoy glosses over the fact so as to go after his favorite whipping people. Sophisticated scams have indeed happened in UPA. But lets get it clear the common man (including me) believe that the Congress Sr. Leadership is not as Black as is being painted by some of the right-leaning columnists like Mr. Shenoy Similarly the leadership under Mr. Vajpayee was not as White as what the same columnists would have us believe. Need some balanced columns or at least full revelations on the author's inclination.

Italian Hand is strong since the Indian Hand is not patriotic and is weak.Politicians who have no national interest in mind will do anything to please others for their self interest.It looks like some deal has been struck with Italy that you don't reveal the names of recipiants in Helecopter deal and we won't pursue the escaped Marines case.But now the Supreme Court has got into involved and let us see what happens.

Your reply is right.There is a morality and integrity crisis in our leadership.
The time has come for the silent majority to reclaim our dignity.
We Indians can write letters to Italian companies doing businesses saying that their products will be copied with vengeance and we will specifically target Italian products. For example make duplicates of Armani suits at a large scale. This should send a message. If the leadership is weak, people shall take things in their own hands.
