The fact remains that under Mrs. Gandhi’s absolute and uncontested leadership the Congress has won national elections twice. When she took over the party in 1998, Congress held power in just four states. Today that number has swelled to 13.If the people of India think Mrs. Gandhi is an evil foreigner scheming to place Italian interests above Indian ones, then why would they vote for her party over and over?

Three reasons - 1. Because they electorate is immature 2. The other side is not much better 3. Its like a cancer which has got into the system, very hard to remove

But none of these have anything to do with Mrs. Gandhi’s foreign origin. So if you oppose her, don’t do it because she’s Italian, but because she’s an Indian who backs some pretty awful ideas.

No need to make foo of people, people are fools. What nation would elect Laloo for decades as CM? What nation would vote for those for trial for corruption, violence and even murder, as is the case with 135 MPs? What nations keeps voting for asingle party for fifty plus year in the centre that has no internal democracy? Answer is and has to be nation comprised of ill-informed fools.
