Let us stop wasting money on temple construction haj subsidy, VIP security etc etc. Spend money on people's welfare and security. As one minister said, why not construct toilets in rural areas and maintain it properly? After all that is the basic necessity than worship

@ True Voice;

Dear Enlightened soul; as per your logic building temples is waste but spending crores on haj subsidy is a great feat, right?

Yes. This is important. After a calamity, there are persons who try to take advantage of the unlimited fund raised and granted to their personal gain.
BKTC alone should not be the authority to do the construction, as funds rom differnt states and all over India are expected. The master plan should be put on a web site and and suggestions should be sought to improve upon.
This not a government project, but for the devotees, by the devotees and hence, transparency is required.

Instead of building any temple. Let the structure keep as it is but could be clean and safe. Better we should built a hospital or educational institute in the name Kedarnath which can be provided all kind of advanced technology used for treatment for the poor and good education free institutes. Let the shrine keep as it is the pilgrimage place for the devotees. Modern facilities like helipad, ropeway can be installed by the pvt company which people can afford to go with that. I will say that rebuilting the temple is a waste of money. We respect the God by helping poor. Then God will bless us.

Fully agree with you though I am not part of any religion. Many schools dont have toilet facility. Girl students are forced to do it in open. And we are worried about temple
