Congress would use this public money to fuel its election campaign .People of uttrakhand wont benefit out of it.How have they arrived at this figure when they don't have not been able to quantify the devastation yet . My request to congress is to not waste this public asset on a lost cause as NaMo is destined for a clean sweep come what may .

Faith in the system has been very badly shattered
by Jagdish Dubey on Jul 06, 2013 04:28 PM  | Hide replies

We have heard the rescued families on TV. For them it will henceforth be pooja at home and no more Char Dham yatra. Their faith in the competence of the government so save them from natural disaster has been badly shattered. They have seen death from so close and have suffered unbelievable physical and mental trauma. It will take much more then a plan which skeptics will see as another way of the non scrupulous minting money. Don't act in hurry. Make the plan public and invite suggestions from all concerned globally. Publish the consensus layouts before asking for donations. Is this government so poor to not be able to afford the cost on its own. Why it has to go out with a begging bowl for contribution? Where is all the money received in offerings so far. Publish widely a paper giving all collections over so many years in all major UK temples with expenditure and what is in balance. Then start from those who have benefited and prospered from tourism in the state including the government and the businesses. Then only go forward to outside UK. Otherwise it is going to be perceived as another gimmick and worse an attempt to make money from a disaster.

Secular govts and politicians should stop giving any aid/ subsidies for religious welfare or yatras or construction. Instead should launch more schemes like food security bill, MNREGA etc which benefits the people of all religion. Govt should not give any subsidy benefit to mansarovar, chardham, haj yatras and any tax relief to any religious places like temples, churches, mosques, fire temples, etc. Let non-secular people contribute for their religion. Do not waste taxpayers money. Use the same in Bharat Nirman

government should not give any kind of subsidies including food and petroleum subsidies and stop wasting money on programs like MNREGA. instead it should concentrate on building physical infrastructure like roads, ports, railway and also social infrastructure like schools, colleges and hospitals

1. shut off all these rain devastated religious sites for the next five years.
2. start a massive afforestation program.
3. Start charging people to visit these area and use the money to plan and build the place in a very environment friendly manner
4. keep all politicians, even BJP ones from these development plans, and bring in professional world class companies who know their jobs.

Fw: Recent Devastation in Uttrakhand
by subhas agarwal on Jul 06, 2013 03:24 PM  | Hide replies

We find that a authority called "NATIONAL DISASTER MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY" was created to help fight disasters of the ki nd that happend recently. What did the authority do?. They simply sat down to enjoy the fat cheques and perks that were handed over to them. This Authority should be dissolved immediately and all the members should be tried for murder.

These people want to re-build the additional pomp and show of the temple which the nature has rejected. 2000 Cr. is a big amount and must not be wasted to search GOD who is omnipresent.
