Army is doing a great job in rescuing so many ppl and most of us cannot help them physically but yes we can contribute liberally and more than contribution by paying taxes without evading it would be of more greater help ...i am sure many of us in the forum are salaried and we honestly pay taxes and we dont have any alternative as tds is deducted from salaries but slightest of chances we get like showing more rent than what is actually paid is all contributing to lesser taxes.....argument always remains whether all our taxes reaches the correct means but why not we take a positive step to help our fellow country ppl with our money if not through our effort physically....hope most of you guys will agree with me on this....
In our Vadic puran its written that ganga will be on the earth for approx 5000 years, we have crossed 5100 years. landslides if continued and the angle with which earth is shifting its poles then it day will not be very away we will loose ganga.

Anywhere you go to in Uttarakhand, you can easily spot the blatant violation of law. Builders put up structures on river-beds, it is easy to get building material. Rivers cannot be barricaded by these wanton acts aided by a pliant state government. Buildings built on river-beds have to be marked, the builder fined adequately for such criminal activity and these structures demolished.

Till we have corrupt politicians and chalta hai attitude population such tragdies are bound to continue no expert can help us. If this unfortunate tragedy would have happened in any western countires by now the person responsible would have done their jobs without any personal gains but here everyone wants to get credit and make the most out of this tragic incident.We never learn from any tragdies what action plan we have after 26/11 mumbai attacks? What as indian citizens we have done other than pulling each others legs on basis of religon, caste, language...
